  • Lively family-friendly park five minutes' walk from the beach
  • Pool, kids' splash pool and sports activities
  • Pub restaurant and takeaway
If you’re a delicate flower, there’s no need to wither in the sea when you fancy a swim – go for a toasty float in this park’s smart indoor pool instead. Withernsea Sands Holiday Park is a lively site on the Yorkshire coast, with great facilities for families, including a kids' splash pool alongside the main pool, kids’ clubs, organised sports activities both in the pool and on dry land, and a pub restaurant and takeaway. In peak season, there’s also an evening programme of rip-roaring entertainment and dancing (the vibe is quieter at other times).

Liked: Easy to use the app and gave us a good price on a single night which wasn't available direct with the site. Clean site and good facilities.

Liked: Quiet site, beautiful breakfast
Entertainment for the kids, nice big park, close to the beach

Disliked: Being told I couldn't have a pitch due to pitch up not informing them of our arrival, having to battle to get a pitch even though I had evidence I'd purchased through pitch up
I was told it was health and safety as they had no record of me staying there

Liked: On site bar / restaurant decent prices as long as it was on the deals / offers available

Disliked: Field was very uneven.
Facilities block was closed due to renovation so had to go to the second block further away which wasn't too good either.

Swimming pool on site was closed

Shop was small and stupidly overpriced on everything

Liked: EHU camper van pitch: Decent size pitch.Walk to beach approx 10 mins. Dog friendly and a good, long beach. Nice walk into the town. Not much there but enough to pass some time. Didn't use entertainment/bar etc as we have a puppy so can't comment. The toilets DEFINATELY need updating but they were lovely and warm, toilet paper in all of them and very clean every time I used them. Ramons ! name was on the wet floor board so I will say he does a good job.The amount of money this site must make suggests some of it really does need to be spent on both toilet blocks!? It appears to be the TOP COMPLAINT in the reviews ??

Disliked: Uneven pitch, awning was a mare to put up ! Really dark at night, I would suggest a torch. Lights would be great depicting where your pitch is ? Apart from a rather tart receptionist on arrival I don't really have any other moans :-) If we stayed again we would ask to stay on the site to the right of the entrance, Chestnut drive, (named something like that) ! Hubby had a walk round and said toilet blocks were much better and the site/field looked better too ! I'm guessing at £10/11 a night it must be what you get ??

Liked: The stactic area of the site looks well kept

Disliked: Toilet block needs updating, toilet seats need replacing immediately, touring field, bluebell field needs mowing and signs up to say pick up your dog mess as this is a problem when walking round at night also dos tied up to the electric points , very strong small of urine, unclear which electric point belongs to picth especially in the middle section of the field and in my opinion your on top of the people next to you

Liked: Location was satisfactory

Disliked: The pitch was uneven and messy. Lots of food left on ground from previous campers encouraging seagulls. Toilet and shower facilities very tired and not especially clean.
Not a lot to do in the area therefore we left after 3 nights to a different location, we were booked for 7 nights

Local attractions

The beach at Withernsea is only a five-minute walk from the park, and has miles of clean golden sands. Withernsea itself is a small and friendly resort with a lovely prom, open air theatre and a rare inland lighthouse, which now houses a museum. To the south of the town is Spurn Point, a nature reserve where visitors can spot seals, migrating birds and many unusual plants on the long, narrow spit of shingle. There’s more to see and do around and about: a massive nuclear bunker to explore at RAF Holmpton, a 500-year-old Napoleonic fort at Fort Paull, and thrills and spills aplenty at the nearby Pleasure Island Theme Park and The Deep Aquarium in Hull. Shopaholics should also make time to hornpipe down to Hornsea, where they’ll dance with glee at the bargains to be had in the designer outlet village.
