Liked What is there not like - The pitches are fully serviced to a high standard and big enough to take the largest of caravans and motorhomes. Set in a very peaceful location that was truly for us exactly what we were looking for - Total peace.

Disliked If I had to be picky I would say please put the sign on the entrance in a better position for the caravan side of the business.

Disliked Nothing for children to do games room what is on the picture when looking did not appear to be open so have to keep the children entertained yourself. Pitches on hard standing fine but the grass was full of thistle so had to be careful

Liked Great site, plenty of space and the toilets, showers and utility area was spotless. Would definitely recommend and only a 5 min drive from Mappleton beach.

Liked Very quiet, small campsite. Facilities are very clean and fairly new - showers/toilets/washer/drier, even cooking facilities in an open to all kitchen (chargeable). Off the beaten track but a short drive to the centre of Hornsea and the beaches, so not a problem.

Liked A good small site overall! The trip was made by meeting some lovely people, a small site but unfortunately can’t walk to any nearby locations or a beach etc. Not a lot for children, but a good small site if you’re staying in a group or lucky to meet some new people! Good facilities and great that there was WiFi.

Local attractions

Hornsea is likely to be your first port of call – you can drive there in about five minutes, walk in 45 or cycle in 20. There’s a lovely sandy beach up here, with plenty of places to pick up fish and chips or ice creams, and several other attractions including Bugtopia Zoo, Honeysuckle Farm and boating on Hornsea Mere. The town is also home to a leisure centre with a swimming pool, and an outlet shopping village. For a wilder stretch of coast, head over to Mappleton beach (five minutes’ drive), or pack your binoculars and make your way to Flamborough Head (45 minutes) to look out for seabirds. To see marine life instead, head into Hull (25 minutes) for a day at The Deep aquarium (the free Streetlife Museum, home to all sorts of old vehicles, is well worth a visit too while you’re there…) Other places to visit in the area include Burton Constable Hall & Grounds (10 minutes) and the lovely town of Beverley (25 minutes), which is full of independent shops.
