What customers say
This is a friendly, family-oriented campground with spacious sites and amenities like a cafe, play area, and mini-golf. Guests rave about clean restrooms, helpful staff, and a peaceful vibe. While there are plenty of activities, some note certain facilities are basic and could use an update. Recommended for a relaxed stay with lots to entertain kids.

Practical, well equipped and friendly site.
Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite
Liked Everything! Really practical site with all the important things for a family camping trip. There were plenty of showers and toilets which were clean considering how busy the site was. Play park, animals, activities, space to play and a little cafe bar. All within easy reach of the tent. We went with 2 small children and had a great time, we barely left the site.

Powered grass campsite (water hook-up)
Liked Everything about the campsite was lovely. Very accommodating when I ask if we could be near family members. Lovely and respectful campsite. Shop and fish and chips near by!
Disliked Nothing, couldn't even fault a thing

Liked Quite relaxed atmosphere. Big pitches. Friendly garden. Easy cycling on quiet lanes. Pub in the village. Water on pitch.
Disliked Surrounding buildings look very tired. Seemed expensive.

Lovely campsite for a few days…
Powered grass campsite
Liked Lovely campsite for a few days stay. Little play area for the kids, pirate mini golf at a very reasonable rate. Big pitch. Small cafe on site serving some nice takeaway food. Recommend the pizzas! Chickens and other small animals for the kids to look at. Shower and toilet facilities split between male and female. Big washing area and also ability for launder as well.
Pitch was flat and well maintained. Sensor lights for the evening to walk to the toilet facilities. Toilet facilities were kept clean.
Lovely friendly staff. Excellent communication before the stay.
Location to the town is ok. Would not use the shops in town for fresh produce, but they have a range of other. Fridge on site was handy, but I wouldn’t want to assume there is space when the site is busy.
Disliked It is a bit run down in places but nothing that you would want to complain about. One of the showers had a push button to operate that would stay on for 10 seconds so I had to hold it in.
The hub was run down, had table tennis but that’s it. Ice machine not working and the shuffleboard is in the cafe. So only accessible when it is open.
We loved the chickens roaming about, however if you don’t like chickens this would not be one for you. One even came in the tent, which we loved but others may not.
I would view the cafe as a takeaway rather than somewhere to sit and eat and relax. There’s only a few tables, wooden cutlery. It’s not a complaint but if you were expecting to be able to sit in there for the evenings, you will not be able to.

Facilities on site were great, including…
Camping pod
Liked Facilities on site were great, including the gym, assault course and the cafe.
The shower and toilet block were really clean and stocked.
The pod we stayed in was clean, comfortable and had great facilities.
Disliked I wish the pod was a little more secluded and private, the site was quite busy when we stayed and the neighbours felt very close.
A electric stove would have been handy but like I mentioned the cafe was ideal so not having one didn’t impact us as much.

Nice to have a few facilities/activities…
Powered grass campsite (water hook-up)
Liked Nice to have a few facilities/activities on site such as cafe, shuffleboard, crazy golf. Pitches were good size. Overall a little rough round the edges but not a bad small campsite. Nice pub half a mile down the road.
Disliked They have outdoor and indoor toilet and shower facilities. I had trouble finding a hot shower ....I was told that i had to keep the water running for a few minutes however that didn't work so moved to the indoor showers.

From the manager: I'm sorry you had trouble with the showers. There is plenty of hot water and I suspect that the tap was just turned to cold.
If the first to use for a while it can take a while for the hot to reach.
We have adjustable temperature for the showers rather than a fixed temperature as most prefer it.

Liked Love this site! This was our second stay. Nice amenities but still quiet. Enjoyed the Guinea pigs and play area onsite. Walked to the village playground and also tried mini golf. A great first spot for camping with little ones.
