  • Pop-up site at a Norfolk working farm just outside the Broads
  • BeWILDerwood Norfolk 10 minutes' drive; 15 minutes to the coast
  • Home to a microbrewery with a taproom on site
A pop-up campsite with a microbrewery on site? Sounds like a fine setup, right? Well, that’s what you’ll get at The Farm Camping, part of a Norfolk working farm just outside the Broads National Park. This is a handy location for all sorts of Norfolk activities, including walking or boating around the Broads, hitting the beaches of the north coast or spending time fishing, horse riding or cycling. The nearest pub is about 10 minutes’ walk away – but you won’t have to go that far if you don’t want to, as the farm is home to the Wildcraft Brewery, which has a taproom in one of the traditional red-brick barns (and picnic tables outside for an alfresco drink on a sunny day). As a pop-up site the facilities here are fairly simple, but you’ll have access to toilets, showers, a washing-up area and a wifi connection, and you’re welcome to bring a barbecue for your meals. Dogs, families and groups are all welcome.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Pitches were well marked. Facilities were basic but clean. Shower was surprisingly good. The beer in the tap room was excellent.

Disliked Road noise although that wont put us off booking again.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Everything! Good size pitches, plenty of toilet facilities, great shower and washing up area with drinking water (slightly away from the camping area which provides privacy), friendly and helpful staff, great tap room onsite, there was a lovely farmers market to browse, brilliant quiz on the Sat evening and food was available from Big Nap Pizza Co which was amazing! All round a great place to stay and have a fun weekend. Very relaxing and peaceful site even with the tap room right there.

Disliked Nothing!

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Great place, lovely surroundings, great staff very helpful and friendly. Porta loos on site, always stocked with paper, didn't smell like typical porta loos. Walking distance to village, lovely food and beer garden.
Farmers market was on the Saturday , great to have a wander around. The brewery had a pub quiz later that night too, great fun! Good laugh, locals and campers attended. Well stocked bar, reasonably priced too. Would stay again.

Disliked Pitches quite small considering size of the field. Was unsure where to park the car! We had a tent and gazebo, had to park it outside the pitch boundary. Vehicles could still get thru tho.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Friendly staff in the brewery . Toilets were clean.

Disliked The camping area was mostly ground covered in nettle and thistle. Feet stung constantly (was wearing crocs 🙃) Tents very close to each other, very small pitch only about 1.5 m apart.( thought tents had to be alot further apart for fire safety) When asked where water tap was, was told there wasn't one. (Apparently one has just been fitted behind the only 2 showers)

From the manager: Hi, apologies you were stung, its the nature of a farm field that sometimes there are some thistles and stingers out there. Also, we did message to say there was a sink behind the showers with water. however, we were aware this wasn't suitable for filling larger containers. Thankfully, a tap had been fitted by this for that very purpose but we were unaware it was done, so omitted to tell you about it. Water is also available from the brewery... Its out first year so still learning so thanks for your feedback

Liked Great location, close to the beach. Friendly staff and friendly campers. The weather helped a lot too.

Disliked The Toilets could have been better and serviced. There are only 2 showers so bit of a wait in the morning.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Everything, was a lovely stay and will definitely be coming back to this peaceful and welcoming campsite. The brewery was a lush feature to this campsite and very reasonably priced.

Disliked We had a shower at 8pm and have a feeling the hot water had run out as it was freezing and would recommend some lighting on the path to the toilets but this is only feedback as it wasn't anything too major :)
