  • Family holiday park a mile and a half from Great Yarmouth
  • Salon, sauna, Waterworld, sports area and kids' clubs
  • Teenagers' clubs with DJ lessons, pool parties and lots more
Where to start when listing the many options on offer at the family-friendly park with top facilities and free five-star entertainment that is Vauxhall Holiday Park? Brekkie first, possibly; a full English at the Reedcutters Restaurant to start the day off, then a trip to Pinkies Salon or to the sauna for some pampering while the other half sorts the kids out… there are Arty Kidz clubs every afternoon, an under-fives activity club and Louie’s Adventure Playground, plus a soft play area, Highway 66 mini bowling, adventure golf, King Louie’s Goldmine… Older kids are well catered for too with the Hideout Club (for 12- to 16-year-olds) offering DJ lessons, jewellery making, pool parties and more. Once it’s been at least an hour after a meal (like your mum told you), time for swimming: Vauxhall Holiday Park has a Tropical Waterworld and Splash Zone with indoor and outdoor pools, waterslides, rapids, kids’ pool and sunbathing terraces to flop onto afterwards. Or take the crew to the indoor or outdoor sports areas with climbing walls, gym and games room. More food? Why not: alongside the Reedcutters Restaurant (which serves up lunch, dinner and snacks as well as breakfast), Vauxhall Holiday Park has takeaway outlets to bag pizza, burgers, kebabs, fried chicken and local shellfish (not all at once), or you could pick a panini or sarnie while you surf the net on the free wifi at Ted’s Coffee Shop. For entertainment, there’s cabaret, comedy, live music and shows every day of the week, with evening dancing, competitions, cabaret and shows in the Regency Room, and floor shows for the sophisticated in the over-18s V-Lounge with adjoining conservatory.

This popular, family-friendly spot offers many amenities and activities for kids. Guests loved the entertainment, pool, and staff. Pitches are usually spacious and tidy. Some found restrooms less clean and noted dated facilities. A few reported noise.

Liked Multiple food options

Disliked All pre bookable swimming sessions were taken weeks before our holiday and when we arrived we were advised that we could just queue up and hopefully get into the pool if there was room. People were queueing atleast 20 minutes before the next session to get a slot and With 2 autistic children this is an absolute no for us. They can’t queue for long and the risk of not getting in and the meltdown this would cause. Would be completely unfair on them and us. The only reason I chose this site was for the pool and we couldn’t even use it. We had to pay to use the leisure centre in Great Yarmouth and if I knew I was going to have to do that I would have stayed somewhere less busy and noisy.
The toilet and shower blocks were pretty tatty and not particularly clean, the taps either soaked you or had no water pressure. The camping pitches were right on top of each other and there were so many noisy children and adults shouting at children it wasn’t exactly relaxing. The WiFi didn’t work, I paid for the supposed premium WiFi and still could do absolutely nothing so that was a waste of money.
We only booked for 2 nights luckily but actually considered leaving early, the place just wasn’t for us.

Liked That the kids can go off and explore, so many things to do on site, not far to travel to Great Yarmouth pier and the town. The swimming pool was great. Entertainment was fantastic.

Disliked The toilet and shower block wasn’t clean to a high standard for a family holiday park, I did not see one cleaner cleaning them. I think they need a really good refurbish to make them fresh and clean

Liked It’s the third time we’ve been to Vauxhall and we love the amount of stuff to do for kids. Especially the pool!
We camped this time but we’ve also stayed in a static and a glamping pod.

Disliked The big downside is the WiFi, it’s great around the centre of the site, but it quickly becomes unavailable where you stay.

This affected us when we were in a static in a previous visit and again in the electric camp pitches.

We’d be prepared to pay for the Parkdean Customer premium connection, over the free version, but we can’t even pick it up beyond the middle of the facility.

Based on this being the same 3/4 years ago I think it’s time they invested in improvements to the whole park. If they don’t we won’t be visiting again, sorry.

Liked The pitch was very nice.

Disliked The toilet and shower facilities were very dirty and smelly. The floor was constantly wet and dirty. The toilets didn’t flush well and were even broken. The showers were cold and very low, along with also being dirty. People left belongings in them. They didn’t seem to be clean in the few days we stayed.

Local attractions

Gorgeous Great Yarmouth, stretches of sandy beach and the Norfolk Broads are all within easy reach of Vauxhall Holiday Park. Start off with the Pleasure Beach and racecourse of this seaside town, browse around its market or take the kids to nearby adventure park BeWILDerwood for a bedazzling day out among the zipwires and Crocklebogs. As well as the Broads, Norfolk has loads to see and do, whatever floats your boat: classic golf courses, more seaside towns at Cromer and Hunstanton, historical pads like Blickling Hall and the royal residence of Sandringham, and the Nelson Museum and award-winning Time & Tide Museum, both at Great Yarmouth. For steam fans, there's a pick of four heritage railways to sightsee while sitting, including the 18-mile Bure Valley route through the Broads and the longest heritage railway in East Anglia, the Mid-Norfolk Railway. Birdwatchers can get their beaks into several RSPB and nature reserves all around: start off at the oldest Norfolk Wildlife Trust reserve in the county, Cley Marshes, then take a trip to the biggest at Hickling Broad. Head south to Suffolk for the seaside town and beach huts of Southwold, the Suffolk Heritage Coast and Anglo-Saxon burial at Sutton Hoo, or into Essex for the historic town of Colchester, Epping Forest and another seaside resort at Southend-on-Sea.
