The wonderful Worcestershire countryside will be your surroundings if you stay at Herberts Field Certificated Location – with the added bonus of views towards the Malvern Hills National Landscape to make the location even prettier. You’ll be among a select few that get to enjoy it all as well, as this small site is reserved for Caravan and Motorhome Club members only – and it’s an adults-only setup too (although dogs are welcome). This is a site that’s been designed with touring guests in mind – and that pitches are spacious, with a hardstanding patch for your wheels and a grass area for your awning, outdoor chairs and the like. Each one has an electric hook-up available, and you’ll have access to shared facilities including a chemical disposal point, a water supply and a toilet block. What might you get up to while you’re here? Well, these scenic surroundings are fabulous for relaxed pursuits like hiking, cycling, horse riding, fishing and golf, and there’s a country pub about 15 minutes’ stroll away in the village of Welland. Upton Upon Severn (five minutes’ drive) and Great Malvern (10 minutes) are also close by for shops and places to eat – and you might like to find out what’s on at the Three Counties Showground (five minutes away).

Local attractions

The Malvern Hills National Landscape surely beckons for a walk, a bike ride or some other form of outdoor pursuit. There are lots of lovely places to explore here, with some favourites being Gullet Quarry (10 minutes’ drive), Worcestershire Beacon (15 minutes) and The Knapp And Papermill Nature Reserve (25 minutes). For more leisurely strolls, try out places like St Ann’s Well, or Eastnor Castle, with its extensive deer park. The historic buildings of Ledbury make the town another lovely place for a wander. All three are about 15 minutes’ drive away. For a taste of the area’s cultures, head to Upton upon Severn (five minutes), which hosts several music festivals throughout the year and is also home to the Tudor House Museum. Worcester (25 minutes) is another good shout, with the cathedral and the Museum of Royal Worcester to visit, as well as The Firs: Elgar’s Birthplace Museum, a National Trust site just outside the city.
