  • Adults-only campsite with spectacular Staffordshire moorland views
  • Alton Towers and the Peak District National Park 15 minutes’ drive
  • Fresh eggs available; logs and barbecues provided for a small cost
Ready for weekend breaks and nights under the stars on an adults-only Staffordshire hideaway? Staying at Tyre Farm sees you 15 minutes’ drive from Alton Towers and the Peak District National Park; wherever you find yourself on site there are spectacular views across open countryside to wild moorland and the landmark Winkhill. Logs and disposable barbecues are available for a small cost on request. Breakfast is sorted as you can fry up freshly laid eggs straight from the farm chickens. Pick up other foodie bits and pieces from the supermarkets in Leek (15 minutes), or head to pubs and restaurants if outdoor cooking isn’t your forté; there are quite a few options within 20 minutes of the site. As the pitches are on a working smallholding, dogs should be kept on leads.

Manifold primitive gravel and cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked: Omg, what lovely people Karen and Andrew are. Couldn't do enough for us. Fantastic location, beautiful pitches, spotless facilities and some great animals to see on the small holding. Cows sheep lambs goats ducks hens cats and 'boots' the dog. No wi-fi but mobile data comes in at 264 mbps on 4g and 200mbps on 5g. Will definitely be going back.

Disliked: Nothing in the slightest

Manifold primitive gravel and cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked: Lovely clean and tidy site. Our pitch even had a little table and chairs at the side of it. Not too many pitches. They have thought of everything. Small farm animals dotted about the place including goats chicken ducks. Working farm with cows and sheep. We were lucky enough to be there when baby lambs were born and we could hear there brand new voices.

Rudyard primitive cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite

Liked: Peaceful day and night, with lovely views and a host of walks on the doorstep. Flat pitches, modern and spotlessly clean facilities and a warm welcome from the resident goats/sheep/cats. Hosts were helpful and provided lots of local info in reception (plus a map of pubs within walking distance). Great location with Peak Wildlife Park just over the fields.

Disliked: Nothing, and with the clever planting it will be an even lovier place to stay in a few years

Dovedale powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: Lovely modern and spotlessly clean toilet and shower. Great to watch the animals from the pitch. Like the pairing (not too close) of the pitches......plan to return with my parents who have a caravan. The top spot next to facilities is absolutely perfect for camper vans with no toilet. I think a map or description of site layout in listing would attract more holidaymakers, it's a very well planned site. Thank you!
