Liked: This is one of the best site we have ever been, with lovely owners. The pitch size is huge and you have your own toilet, hot shower and washing facility. This is a site where you can sit, relax and enjoy your drink. There are plenty of activities around the site to do, the owner put on board what is going on in the area so you know. There is fridge- freezer if you need to put you perishable food. You can buy home made sausages which are lovely, bacon, eggs and few other essentials you can pay by card too 😜. Fire pits and logs are available to make you evening more enjoyable
Disliked: Nothing to dislike

Primitive grass tent campsite (riverside)
Liked: Lovely spot. The 6 pitches are dotted along a stream, each with individual toilet/shower/washing up blocks which was a welcome touch. Each pitch has an awning, picnic table and fire-pit (ingenious repurposed washing machine drum). The host Tim was a lovely guy and even offered to pick up some milk for us when he was popping to the shops. There is a small 'tack room' on site selling a few basics including their own sausages and bacon (bread and milk not available). Would highly recommend, had a great time.

Liked: The pitch was more than perfect, at first i though it was way over generous, but after a few days to unwind me and my partner really appreciated the experience of being so far from anyone else, it gave us space to actually dissconect from the outside world to fully relax and recoup which is exactly what was needed!
we loved just being able to look after ourselves with our own facilities, which were fab too.

Liked: Everything! Own, clean and warm shower; clean own toilet, picnic table, awning protecting from sun/rain, fire pit and available wood, plenty of space and far from other campers, singing birds, proximity to attractions and walks, fresh eggs..
Disliked: We loved it all
