The big draw here is the friendly vibe from amiable owners and seasoned campers Claire and Carol, who'll be seen on site keeping everything shipshape (and sorting out logs and kindling for your evening campfire). The modern facilities extend to showers and toilets with underfloor heating, hair dryers and heaters, as well as a laundry room. Other topping factors are the big and safe natural area for kids to run around in away from the main site, and the closeness of Withies to activities of all sorts, including hikes around the Shropshire Hills, industrious visits to Ironbridge and its museums, and mooching around Shrewsbury, under half an hour's drive away. Withies is set in six acres of grassy meadow on Wenlock Edge near the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's a 10-minute walk to the historic market town of Much Wenlock and its visitor centre, traditional shops and a satisfying selection of pubs and restaurants.

Peaceful, friendly site with great modern facilities. Lovely location for walks & traffic-free access to Much Wenlock. Pitches are on a slope, but secure gate, free firewood & play area were appreciated. Some noted a few more showers/cubicles & lack of on-site amenities.

Liked Very nice small friendly site with everyone mixed together tents vans and caravans. 15 min walk into Much Wenlock through gate at top of the field. Free wood to burn on your own fire pits. w/c shower block new and very clean. Secure entrance gate code set on day of arrival as a text message. Whole Site is in a slope will definitely need levelling chocks which wasn’t a problem. Lovely views peaceful site will visit again

I would come again, Much Wenlock is a gorgeous little village.

Liked Great site, good location.

Disliked The whole site is on a hill, so ramps are needed for caravans and motor homes. Not a moan just a observation. Only one water tap on the main field.

Liked Lovely facilities there, the toilets and showers were very clean as was the kitchen.

Disliked The pitches should be marked out. There was a lot of confusion about where exactly you can pitch you motorhome or caravan. There was nearly fisticuffs on Friday night as people arrived later and were not sure about the proper place to pitch. Its ok saying pitch where ever you like but there is always someone who can make it difficult.

Liked Very good communication prior to arrival with clear friendly instructions. Position and easy access. No set pitches. Close to footpath. Cleanliness of facilities. Kitchen with microwave and toaster. Relaxed feel to site. Loved it.

Liked Great location! Fantastic walks ( go up through field) and you can easily walk into town. Quiet. Clean toilets and showers. Excellent facilities ie. Kitchen with microwave and kettle.

Liked Clean tidy site. Toilet / shower block immaculate. Very secure site due to code to enter/exit. Nice walk down into much wenlock

Disliked Not really a dislike but make sure you have levelling chicks as they will be needed for most pitches

Liked Lovely secure site with coded gate access. New shower block which was absolutely spotlessly clean every-time we used it. Pitches are on a hill but lots of wooden planks and equipment around to help you get your caravan level. This is a family run site and the family are very much present on site. They were friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. Nice site made better by the customer service skills of the owner and his family.

Liked Tony (top chap) looked after me and my family very well. Toilet block and showers were immaculately clean. Nice small site with a few areas for the kids. Friendly campers and vanners. Electrical hook-ups available. Secure/gated entry which is coded - also stops kids wandering off! 2 minutes to local pub and a 15 minutes to the Long Myndd. We found this place by chance and will be returning in 2 weeks!!! Highly recommended. Benjamin and Rebecca

Wenlock Edge Caravan and Camping is in prime position for Shropshire's country, town and historic attractions, from its setting near the Shropshire Hills and within walking distance of town. Much Wenlock is between Shrewsbury and Bridgnorth, with the Ironbridge Gorge and the town of Telford to the north-east. Within a few minutes' walk is the limestone escarpment of Wenlock Edge, a Site of Special Scientific Interest running for over 19 miles between Craven Arms and Much Wenlock. It includes the marked trail of the Shropshire Way, the bridle path of the Jack Mytton Way, and eccentric structures like the tower Flounder's Folly, which many walks around the area pass. The Ironbridge Gorge Museums should entice even the most reluctant of small Shropshire holidaymakers: this UNESCO World Heritage Site has 10 museums telling the tale of Britain's Industrial Revolution, including the Blists Hill Victorian Town and Enginuity, an interactive design and technology centre with shows and workshops. Also make time for a trip on the spectacular Severn Valley Railway, on its 16-mile route through the Severn valley and along the River Severn for much of the way. The track runs from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster; alight nearby at Ironbridge Level Crossing, or nine miles from Withie at Bridgnorth. County capital Shrewsbury is 13 miles away, and the market town of Ludlow within 23.
