  • No-frills site on a Shropshire farm with views of the Cheshire Plains
  • A 10-minute drive to Market Drayton; half an hour to Stoke on Trent
  • Meet the animals; farm shop selling fresh produce; wooded walks nearby
Set up in a remote spot with birdsong and farm animals as your morning soundtrack… Park Hill Farm is a scenic site on a dog-friendly working farm 10 minutes’ drive from Market Drayton, in north Shropshire. And in case you’re wondering just how scenic the location is… well, it overlooks the Cheshire Plains, Wrekin and the Welsh hills, as well as sitting alongside a woodland that is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The site is set up for wild camping – meaning back-to-basics facilities, and no electricity or showers. There’s no WiFi, either, so instead of scrolling on their phones, children can let off steam in the fresh air and get involved in meeting the animals with the farmer (new friends may include pigs, cows and cats). Sourcing supplies for a gas barbecue is simple, since the site sells free-range eggs from its happy hens, along with its own beef burgers, pork sausages and bacon, plus a handful of pre-packaged essentials like bread, milk, breakfast cereals and ice creams. As the site is working towards being a 'leave no trace' place, they do ask that you take all of your rubbish home. If you’re in need of any extras, the village of Loggerheads (10 minutes’ drive along the A53) has a couple of small shops, as well as a pub and an Indian restaurant. If you want to leave the car behind, Loggerheads can be reached with a splendid 15-minute walk through the country. (This is just one of several paths you can take from the site through the local woodlands and farmlands. The farm shop has maps you can borrow.)

Primitive grass tent or RV campsite

Liked: Superbly peaceful out of the way little no frills site, just my sort of place. The owner Pat seemed very nice and friendly. I did enjoy seeing the piglets and the camp cat, and I enjoyed just sitting in peace watching a very nice sunset. The price (£12) was also excellent in my opinion.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike.

>Choice of area to pitch tent (lucky me I was there alone)

I know only stayed for 1 night but thank you. I enjoyed my stay

Disliked: The Rain 🌧 🤣

Primitive grass tent or RV campsite

Liked: This place is a little peace of heaven.
If your a family a couple or travelling alone that's looking for somewhere that is quiet and peaceful ...... then look no further. You are waking up to birds singing in the tree's, crows crowing in the background, your view across the rear end of the field is phenomenal, you get greeted once arrived by the most friendliest people you will ever meet. The toilets and urinals are very clean, in fact they are spotless, there is a fire pit that you can all gather around at at night to chat about your day's aventure or walks that you have done.
The list can go on but believe me, this is a little place of heaven and I am most definitely booking again for next year.

Disliked: There is nothing to dislike about this site.

Primitive grass tent or RV campsite

Liked: This is an absolute gem! Nice field to camp in, easy walk through forest to nearby village. There are very clean portaloos available, a fridge freezer as well as phone charging points.
This is a working farm and cows and pigs are close by. You pass the pig pen as you come in and we were incredibly lucky that one had just given birth to three of the most adorable little piglets.

Very friendly welcome from Pat the owner, nothing was to much for her and also available via text if we needed anything
There is also a small farm shop on site with hands down the BEST sausages we've ever had. We would 100% stay here again!

Disliked: Nothing
