This peaceful, basic campsite in stunning Shropshire Hills boasts spacious sites & beautiful views. Hosts are friendly & helpful. Facilities are simple (compost toilets, cold water), fitting the wild camping vibe. Most loved the simplicity, though some missed showers & found access roads narrow.

Peaceful site away from it all!
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked So peaceful! The host was friendly and helpful. The compost toilets were clean and in great condition. The water on site was lovely to drink! Firepit stands and bags of firewood available on site. Yes, the site is on a hill but there are plenty of places to pitch that are flat enough. You will NOT be crowded even if the site is fully booked! For a bare bones site, it's just about perfect!
Things to bear in mind, but definitely aren't negative:
The roads approaching the site are VERY narrow. Very.
There is very little phone/internet signal.
If you turn right out of the campsite, be ready for an adventure because have I already mentioned how narrow the roads are? :-)
Disliked Nothing!

Liked Awesome love it the owners are very lovely and happen us out when we got there with food when the shops was shut with a lil charge definitely would come back again
Disliked Just the road it a little hard to ride down on a motorbike but adventure and motor cross bike or a sport bike would be fine , as there is loads of gravel getting down to the camp single track road

Liked We were so delighted. Booked here for one night on our way to Snowdonia Park. We pulled in the most lovely camping field and chose to pitch at the top of the slope. We weren’t disappointed, the views were incredible being surrounded by National Trust countryside and hills. If you are a keen driver the right lanes up are fantastic driving. The basic facilities were more than adequate. The owner was very welcoming. Definitely recommend and would stay again.
