  • Dog-friendly Oxfordshire farm site in the village of North Moreton
  • Didcot Railway Centre 10 minutes' drive; 25 minutes to Oxford
  • Large field with level pitches; pub and bus stop five minutes' walk
Quiet rural farm site, or somewhere that you can easily walk to the village pub? Roll both things into one location at St. Peter’s Farm Campsite, surrounded by fabulous Oxfordshire countryside and yet a mere five minutes’ walk from the local pub in the village of North Moreton. That location brings lots of benefits – you’ll get the peaceful experience that comes from staying on a spacious and level field that’s part of a farm with horses and wildlife areas, but you’ll also be able to stroll up to the village for a meal, a drink or some time at the playground with the kids. There are plenty of good routes around for longer walks too, and the site is dog-friendly so your furry pal can join you. Looking to explore further afield? A bus service from the village runs to Didcot, or you can drive there in about 10 minutes. Wallingford is similarly about 10 minutes away, and both towns are handy sources of shops and places to eat. Oxford (25 minutes’ drive) is also easy to visit from here, and there are plenty of attractions around from the Didcot Railway Centre and Aston Martin Heritage Trust to the Iron Age hillfort at Wittenham Clumps. Pitches at this site are fairly simple but have access to ladies’ and gents’ toilets and showers, a chemical disposal point and a washing-up area, and you’ll be allowed to light campfires or barbecues. There’s a separate field that can be used by rallies and groups such as Duke of Edinburgh expeditions.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Large flat camping field. Owner friendly. Shower was hot. Located in nice village.

Disliked Showers weren't clean. Showers and loos are located a very long way from the camping field. Portaloos were nearer but yucky. Noisy neighbours partying til gone midnight. Also train noise into the night.

Disliked Zuwendungen Toiletten und Duschen. Alles ist sehr Basic und wenn die Nachbarn Feier machen, wird man stark eingeräuchert.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Lovely open field, plenty of space, easy going, perfect location for exploring and walking, friendly and peaceful. Enjoyed having a campfire.

Disliked Very basic facilities. Chemical portaloos and only 2 showers for the whole site which were miles away. Nowhere to get/buy basics like eggs.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Relaxed site - owner friendly.
Nice views from field
Great location
Local pub 5 min walk lovely food (but expensive)

Disliked Toilet, shower and washing up facilities were a long away from main field and very basic. 2 showers for whole field were ridiculous. Portaloo placed in field was helpful but then when asked if this could be cleaned / flush refilled on first night, nothing was done.
No fire pits or wood sold so bring your own. This wasn’t communicated when booked so we had to improvise.
You enter site through a storage yard of camper and caravans, which is very depressing.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Great field lots of space. Porta loos scattered around for easy access for toilet. Very friendly host , was helpful and very laid back. Was able to make a campfire and BBQs were permitted. Would definitely stay here again, very good price! Supermarkets within a ten minutes drive, and a pub 15 mins walk away with a nice walk through fields

Disliked The showers were a little far and only had two. Wasn't too busy so was able to use straight away. The waste pipe seemed to be a little blocked. Only had to use once so didn't really bother me.
