What customers say
This quiet, well-kept park offers roomy, private spots. Guests love the friendly staff, clean restrooms, cafe, and shop. Fishing and the play area are hits with families. Road noise and busy-period restroom waits were noted, but improvements are planned.

Liked Stayed in September so quiet with 5 small fishing lakes. Restaurant open 9.30 -3.30 meals looked lovely at reasonable prices. We had breakfast which was good. Stayed for two nights so did not venture anywhere we had a meet up with friends.
Disliked Take a good torch if you need to go to shower/toilet in the dark no lights on paths. Had a problem with a manhole covered on pitch 2 which I informed the manager and I noted that she acted on it straight away. No wifi on the pitch

Liked The privacy of the hedges, the water access being close the the van however we did pay extra for the hard standing so would expect this. Was so quiet, the lakes were stunning. The cafe was lovely, had a walk round the little shop bits while the boys were fishing.
Disliked The toilets were sufficient and I understand why only have one shower, one toilet as is a touring park. Even the location is fair enough for them however as someone with anxiety , the lack of light at night time is a big put off as you have to walk round past the lakes, the trees and although you can use a torch, it set my anxiety off. Maybe use solar lights, or some low voltage option just something to line the path from the vans to the toilets.
Another thing was the lack of knowledge for the fishing bailiffs. He was adamant that my 12 year old son needed a fishing licence. I mean he was happy enough eventually to accept that he didn't have one as you can't get one for kids under 13, its on the gov page when obtaining a licence but he should have known this.

Level pitches, clean facilities, get gate code if arriving after 4pm
Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Loved everything about the campsite, it's a beautiful place, with a gorgeous cafe with outside decking area and beautiful fishing lakes, we had a great pitch, hardstanding with both water and waste, this small site was perfect for us, a middle aged/older couple with our little dog.
Disliked Arrived around 5pm to find gates locked, we had already rang ahead to say we would be arriving after 4pm when the cafe closes and staff must all leave for the day. My husband had to walk into the campsite and luckily managed to get the gate code off another camper so we could let ourselves in and find out own pitch but everything was fine from there on.

Liked Nice and tidy campsite. The small willows and reeds surrounded fishing lakes at the bottom of the campsite makes the whole place very peaceful ☺️

Very relaxed camp site in a relaxed, natural environment
Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Absolutely quiet (road nearby is not too loud), very relaxed. We arrived at the end of the season, only 2 extra pitches were in use. We were lucky, since not many people needed the bathroom. Probably, when all pitches are booked, it'd be waiting in line (only one toilet). Bathroom and toilet have separate buildings, both were pretty clean and the shower is actually very good. Pitches are wide, and the hedge around it give a sense of privacy, without confinement. Onsite restaurant is fantastic (breakfast, lunches...) and its adjacent shop is fun to browse through. Can only recommend if you're looking for a sense of tranquility.
