What customers say
A popular, friendly campground with a relaxed vibe, praised for its great location near the River Trent, lovely walks & pubs. Staff, esp. Martin, are helpful. Facilities are basic but clean & functional, with a communal kitchen. Spacious sites a plus. Some note overcrowding/noise; a few found facilities insufficient for site size.

Excellent! Will be coming again.
Primitive grass and earth campsite
Liked Friendly, accommodating staff on arrival.
Super choice of pitches and a high standard of cleanliness in the toilet blocks. Nice to have access to tea, coffee, toast too. Walked ten minutes to a lovely pub nearby.
Disliked Nothing.

Primitive grass and earth campsite
Liked The staff - really friendly and helpful. The site facilities are amazing! This was our second time there and will definitely be staying again and such good x
Value for money.
Disliked If I really had to puck something it would be the toilets - they were not very clean. The toilet bowl was clean it was the bit around the top - under the seat.

Excellent well kept site. Great value for money.
Primitive grass and earth campsite
Liked Great location. Close to the river Trent and the nearby villages of Bleasby and Fiskerton.
Site itself is very spacious, with clean toilet, shower and washing up facilities. Even though it was very busy Martin does a great job keeping on top of everything.
It was my daughters first time camping and mine in a number of years and we both loved it mainly due to the site and the staff there. Nothing was too much trouble!

Primitive grass and earth campsite
Liked The nice welcome and the fire pit.
The location by the river, making it easy to paddle board.
Disliked No selective bins, and the trash section was a mess.
The campsite dog was running without lead or muzzle and growling at children.
The price for 1 night 1 person without electricity was very high.

They did provide washing up liquid,…
Primitive grass and earth campsite
Liked They did provide washing up liquid, soap, sponges and kitchen roll which most places don’t.
Disliked I would not recommend this campsite at all. It was massively overcrowded, probably around 1,000 people crammed in – motorhomes and tents were practically parked on top of each other. The facilities were completely inadequate. They are placed in a central “building” that looks more like a shanty town/favela that has just 3 toilets each for men and women, 2 sinks, and showers I didn’t even dare to try. Unsurprisingly, toilet roll and soap had already run out by morning. There were two washing up sinks with long queues.
The atmosphere was far from relaxing – kids were riding motorbikes around the site and others were playing loudly until very late in the evening. Definitely not the peaceful getaway we were hoping for. We had booked for two nights and decided to leave at 10am after the first night. Very poorly managed and absolutely not worth the money. Didn’t even bother asking for a refund because we felt they probably needed the money for refurbishment.

Cattle market
Powered grass and earth campsite
Liked Nothing
Disliked It was like a cattle market no one in reception so we had to wait the facilities were very run down and tired. The caravans & tents were too close you would get no personal space. We paid then got told to wait no one came so we left very disappointed

More than what we expected, and lovely clean brilliant site
Electric powered grass and earth travel trailer campsite
Liked The guy who welcomed us at the gate ( so sorry didn’t get his name) told us all about the site, the area, where to eat and drink if we wanted and made us feel so welcome, more than we have ever had when arriving at a site!
The manager was equally as helpful, she went through our check in when we paid and ensured everything we needed was ok. Can not fault the place! Clean helpful friendly and if being honest cheaper than it should be!! Great site, great location and will be retuning.

Dirty ,rough ,rowdy and unorganised did not stay more than half hour
Primitive grass and earth campsite
Liked Nothing to like dirty horrible place we stopped half hour and left
Disliked We arrived and and realised we were probably not going to stay . However we checked in which was difficult as they don’t except card only bank draft ,there was no warning of this (I wished we’d have walked away at this point )
A warden who smelt of cannabis found us a pitch in the furthest field and was told this would be peaceful. This was not the case , music blasting ,overcrowded lots of drinking by the Russian mafia next to us .We lasted half an hour and left in fear of how the evening would turn out .Disgusting place I wish I could have my money back through false description
