  • Three miles from Nottingham City Centre and railway station
  • A 10-minute walk from the National Water Sports Centre
Come and spend a break under the stars at Bell Tent Village, a peaceful Nottinghamshire site with luxury and style that'll give most hotels a run for their money. Set on a well-maintained campsite within the gorgeous green grounds of Holme Pierrepont Country Park, the village is made up of a range of smart self-contained accommodation options for parties of all shapes and sizes. The pre-pitched canvas tents are all spread out in a quiet setting, meaning you can look forward to plenty of privacy, and all of them are within a short walk of the campsite's shared amenities, including a large outdoor firepit, well-maintained toilets and showers plus a shop selling groceries and other essential supplies. As well as the campsite's 18-acre grounds, you have direct access to the 270 acres of parkland on offer across Holme Pierrepont Country Park, including adventurous wet and dry activities at the National Water Sports Centre (roughly 10 minutes' walk from the pitches). A lagoon wipeout course, paddleboarding, miniature golf, archery tag and a sky trail are just some of the choices up for grabs. When you've had your fill of fresh air and exercise, it's a breeze to get into Nottingham for dinner, shopping or drinks, as the city centre is a quick 10-minute journey by car at just three miles away.

Emperor bell tent (three person)

Liked: The tent was spacious and we slept well.

Disliked: Nobody on hand when we arrived. Phone number provided for assistance on booking confirmation- office had closed. Nothing but 2 paper cups in tent. I have never experienced such basic supplies when glamping and paying as much as we did. Only 2 mixed toilets for full field of campers. No toilet roll left. Showers out of order.

Willow 3 bedroom safari tent (five person)

Liked: The bell tent area was set out well and the loos in the bell tent area were new and clean. The tent had most things you would like to have and a welcoming touch was having a kettle filled with water so you could have a cup of tea on arrival.

Disliked: Unfortunately the main loo and shower block were below standard from a cleanliness point of view. Grass and mud everywhere and actually we decided not to shower on the last day. Cleaners should be on duty in the rush hour of the morning or mops and brushes to be provided. Also the main facilities are a long way from the bell tent field for small children.
Finally although the bell tent area was not filled with families, if it had been space would be tight.

Glade bell tent (four person)

Liked: The toilet area was a nice surprise, from reading the booking information it seemed like would have to use the main campsite ones.

Disliked: Unfortunately was disappointed from the start. We thought we had booked a bell tent, given the description and name of the tent (Deluxe bell tent). However when we arrived and couldn’t find a bell tent with our number, we found we were allocated a square tent. I know this might not seem much to some but we had a very sad 8 year old who was really looking forward to staying in a proper bell tent.

Our car was hit several times by a football from the family staying opposite which just became annoying.

There was no privacy at all as was sited next to the entrance to the site - felt very much on display for everyone to see.

The site looked nothing like the pictures we had view on this and other sites.

It is situated next to a road where there was quite a few super cars racing up and down for around 3 hours which spoilt the quite evening away we was looking for.

Glade bell tent (four person)

Liked: Such a great stay in one of the bell deluxe tents, very cosy and comfy. Kettle/ tea n coffee / wash bowl /tea towel And a disposable bbq . Toilets on site was very clean and a stone throw away , communal fire pit was a great extra to sit rnd in the evening toasting marshmallows. Will definitely be returning.

Willow 3 bedroom safari tent (five person)

Liked: Loved our Bell tent, the area and facilities. Beds were comfortable, area well kept, clean and tidy.

Disliked: We had a party for a birthday party staying at either side of us who kept trying to open our tent, which scared the children. Very drunk and vocal. This is no fault of bell tent village but it is the only downer to our stay.
