Powered cement/asphalt campsite
Liked: Fantastic campsite located in a quiet area of Lower Marnham close to the tidal River Trent. A lovely small fishing lake which is well looked after with improvements set to adjust pegs following recent floods.
Martin was great and looked after the communal areas to a high standard.
New benches and a characterful ‘Bus Bar’ had just arrived which served as an on site bar serving alcohol for those wishing to relax with a few beverages.
Disliked: Campsite type is listed as “Tiny (1-10 pitches)
This is not the case. I would say there are between 12-15 hard pitch with electrical hookup along with a further 10-15 grass pitch with electrical hookup. Including a number of “off grid” pitches also.
This wasn’t a problem but if you are expecting a tiny site with few pitches, please be aware.

Liked: Brilliant space, very friendly owners. Dog friendly! Good for short dog walk. Worth its price. If you like fishing, ideal spot.
Disliked: Maybe only criticism: toilet cubicles rather small and very low toilet

Primitive grass campsite
Liked: Plenty of space. Quiet during the day. Friendly staff. Clean same-sex toilets.
Disliked: Site was hard to find; we had to phone for directions. Would suggest adding more directions on pitchup and/or adding to Google maps.
There was some noise at night from a nearby factory which kept us awake.
No bins. A bin for dog waste would be useful for this dog-friendly site.
Only reason we don’t plan to return is due to the unpleasant smell that came and went a few times throughout our stay (we live in the countryside and don’t think it was manure) - perhaps a nearby septic tank or drainage issue? Otherwise would have been a 5 star from us.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked: Great location, spacious pitches, friendly and very welcoming, well looked after, simple but very clean facilities, close to an excellent pub (Brownlow Arms). Pretty much perfect...
Disliked: Only dislike, awful smell when the wind is in the wrong direction from a chicken processing plant. Can't blame the site but if I was either a business or resident around there I'd be complaining like mad to the Environments Agency. Only downside to the site.
