When you’re looking for an adults-only hideaway for a couple of quiet days in the countryside, consider Hillgate Farm Lodge, on the edge of the Lincolnshire fens and surrounded by farmland. Comfy accommodation just for two is in a cabin sitting at the edge of a small and utterly peaceful lake with lots of wildlife around – go quietly about your day and perhaps you’ll spot buzzards and owls going about their business too. Inside is a double bed with all linens supplied, a woodburner in the living area for cosy nights or rainy days, a kitchen with a fridge-freezer for the milk (and wine, of course) and a spacious bathroom with a power shower. The cabin has limited cooking facilities inside, but there’s a barbecue and picnic table by the water’s edge and many pubs or restaurants within 15 minutes’ drive. If you’re heading down the self-catering route, turn to the market town of Spalding (25 minutes) or Peterborough (half an hour) for your shopping. Please bear in mind that the cabin is on a working farm, with country sounds and smells associated. There’s also a slightly unusual rural feature here too: a landing strip for microlighters.

Liked: We just came home, excellent place for couples getaway without kids, we vent for Valentine’s day and we had a bottle of wine and Celebration candy’s as special treat🤗absolutely lovely, peaceful getaway. Easy to communicate with owners, they really care what they do😊 little tiny house, but everything is detailed❤️

Changes cannot be made once you have booked.

Admission

Guests under the age of 18 are not allowed on site.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
There is no reception at this park. Please check-in at the house instead.

Motorcycle(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

General

In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Public areas are non-smoking.
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and trunks must be closed quietly.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behavior is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
