Fishing is available on site

  • Fishing site on the outskirts of Skegness
  • Several well-stocked fishing lakes with quiet lakeside spots
  • Modern facilities block with toilets and hot showers
What a serene Skegness spot... Mega relaxing Roach Farm Park is close to the amusements and sands of Lincolnshire's busiest seaside resort, but you wouldn't know it from its peacefully pretty location, set in green countryside and with scenic fishing lakes right on site. The several well-stocked lakes here are all available to guests for a small fee – and if you aren't angling after fishing, there are plenty of placid spots around the lakesides to settle down at with book, tablet or your very own thoughts. Site facilities are sorted at the modern facilities block with toilets and hot showers. Skegness is a 10-minute drive away; if you'd rather leave the car behind, a bus stop is just outside the site.

Liked: The toilet and shower facilities were outstanding. Very friendly staff. Beautiful fishing/ duck ponds and shops/ food serving pubs writhing 10/15 mins walk.

Disliked: The only thing really was there was no pot washing facilities, one night we had to boil the kettle and the other we had to use the toilet sinks to fill our washing bowl, I noticed others doing the same.
Also the showers could use a bench or shelf to put fresh clothes on so the didn’t get wet from the showers.

Liked: Quiet, peaceful

Disliked: Being in a layby, couldnt put canopy up, as was tarmac, cars coming past and vans, people turning up then leaving as it was a layby, wasn't even on park, I complained but no joy, 10 days of being in a layby.
Showers were Discusting thick grime I scratched off with my nail, not been cleaned in 10 days, shower heads wow now david Attenborough would of found some wildlife on them, green and vile 😑

Local attractions

Most folk coming to these parts angle to get to Skegness first, the famed seaside town with sandy beach, pier, many amusements and evening entertainment in clubs, bars and the Embassy Theatre. The Natureland Seal Santuary is in town too if you/the kids want to see some local nature; to see seals in the wild, the Donna Nook Natural Nature Reserve covers over six miles of salt marsh coastline between Grainthorpe Haven and Saltfleet. Around Skegness are Ingoldmells, most visited for its theme park Fantasy Island and its big indoor market, open seven days a week; the beach huts and sands of Sutton on Sea are to the north, and there's more of the same, along with another seal sanctuary, at Mablethorpe. Roach Farm Park is also a short drive from the traditional pubs and family-run shops of Lincolnshire town Burgh Le Marsh.
