  • Adults-only, dog-friendly park in scenic Lincolnshire countryside
  • Lincolnshire Wolds National Landscape and Alford 15 minutes’ drive
  • Quiet setting with direct access to walks; shops 15 minutes’ drive
Designated adults-only so that you can look forward to some peace and quiet, family-run West End Farm sits in unspoiled rural Lincolnshire, surrounded by meadows and woodland. The park is a 15-minute drive from the stunning Lincolnshire Wolds National Landscape and 20 minutes by car from the market town of Louth. Guests have the use of well-maintained showers, washing-up sinks and a summer house with a wealth of tourist information and walking maps. The well-stocked fishing pond provides a quiet spot to unwind from the pressures of daily life, and you can soon be far from the madding crowd on miles of public footpaths accessed directly from the pitches. As you can bring up to three dogs with you, there’s no need for your furry companions to miss out on all the walks either. Of course, if your aim is to do nothing much at all, you can indulge in the simple pleasures of outdoor living with leisurely alfresco picnics (when weather permits). And don’t forget that West End Farm has very little light pollution, so as night falls, grab a blanket, cosy up around your barbecue and get ready to marvel at the region’s unspoiled dark skies.

Oak Meadow power optional grass campsite

Liked: From the moment we booked the communication was excellent even the email on arrival was great, explaining everything even walk routes around the area.
Kelly met us on arrival and showed us to our pitch and got our electric up and running (pay go).
Toilet/shower/ washing up area decorated and clean to a 5 🌟 standard, also with a dog/boot wash great idea!!! The whole site is tidy and well maintained. The site is situated in a secluded area which is very quiet and tranquil a good place to reflect. The added advantage is the reasonable sized fishing lake which we thoroughly enjoyed for a couple of days catching; rudd, roach and a few varieties of carp. Fresh eggs are available from the free range chickens (locked up in there cozy homes due to bird flu at presant) . We felt like part of the family from the first day. Kelly and Nick are good hostes and very friendly.

Disliked: The weather very wet but other than that there's nothing to dislike at all.

Local attractions

Hikers and cyclists are well catered for with long-distance routes like the Viking Way and multi-use Lindsey Trail in the Lincolnshire Wolds National Landscape (15 minutes’ drive). If you’d prefer to make for North Sea beaches, there are ample easy ambles along the seafront at Mablethorpe and Sutton-on-Sea (both 20 minutes), and dog-friendly hikes amid the dunes of Saltfleetby-Theddlethorpe Dunes National Nature Reserve (15 minutes). Postcard-perfect local towns to potter around include Alford (15 minutes), known for an unusual five-sailed windmill, its mix of thatched cottages and townhouses built of tiny red bricks, a buzzing Friday market and themed 1940s weekends. Largely Georgian-era Louth (20 minutes) is a lively market town packed by antique shops, indie cafés and a landmark 18th-century church with a soaring spire. If your interests are of an historical bent, get up close to the 13th-century remains of once-hexagonal English Heritage-managed Bolingbroke Castle, or pay homage to the World War II heroes of Bomber Command at Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre (both half an hour).
