What customers say
This is a quiet, basic campsite with spacious, flat sites and generally clean facilities. Its location is praised for convenience to local towns and the coast. Many guests found staff friendly. However, some reviews mention ongoing construction, dated facilities, and occasional cleanliness or noise issues. The site seems to be transitioning to luxury lodges, impacting the original camping experience.
Summary AI-generated from Pitchup.com customer reviews

Dirty toilets and showers. Toilet roll all over the floor.
Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Pitches were fairly big and the ground was flat.
Disliked The toilets and shower area were absolutely filthy.
We were pitched at the bottom end of the field so had a long walk to go to the toilet.
There were people pitched in two blue tents that's were shouting and swearing until gone 11pm.
People were driving round and reving cars and motor bikes after 11pm.
There are people who actually live on the site that were quite intimidating at times.
Fishing is no longer allowed by campers which was a dampener on our stay.
I would not return nor recommend the site to anyone. It appears that the lodges are more of interest than the actual camp site.
There are cheaper cleaner sites close by.

I wouldn’t stay here again I’m afraid.
Powered grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Not much really.
Disliked Being the only people on the site at times that didn’t actually live there, feeing a little intimidated by the volume of the families. Very noisy children.
Road noise was constant specially the motorbikes speeding past.
Toilet facilities/showers dirty and run down.
Building work in the touring field obviously turning it into lodges only park, not mentioned when booking!

Great budget site
Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Slightly concerned after reading recent reviews about lack of cleanliness and intimidating long term residents but this was unfounded. The few families there long term seem to be connected to the people working on and improving the site and they were perfectly friendly and their children were polite. More showers than the reviews suggested too - one for men, one for women and a further two in a unisex block. Great environment.
Disliked Poor WiFi, could have done with another sink in the toilet block. It’s a shame they seem to be doing away with camping in favour of the lodges.
