For a relaxed, eco-friendly and alternative camping experience near Andalusia's Costa de la Luz, make tracks for Global Tribe Campsite, a peaceful nature retreat 10 kilometres from the edge of Doñana national park. Whether you're just looking for somewhere a little bit different to spend some time chilling out or are after yoga classes, dance lessons and some tasty vegetarian meals, this friendly spot has a wide range of accommodation options to help make your trip a success. All guests staying here have access to a shared toilet block and well-maintained showers. There isn't a campers' kitchen, but breakfast, lunch and dinner are available from the on-site kitchen at affordable prices – and it’s all made from 100% organic ingredients. Many of the vegetables are grown right here on the on-site farm, which uses biodynamic methods and is certified organic. There are plenty of relaxation areas around at Global Tribe Campsite, with various sofas, hammocks, dining tables and chill-out zones. There are also leisure facilities including a volleyball court, as well as several great places to just sit back and watch the sunset. The nearest town, Almonte, is five kilometres from base and has a range of bars, places to eat and other facilities, including food shops.

Liked: De zeer hartelijke en zorgvuldige ontvangst. Ook de milieubewuste aanpak waarderen we zeer. Ook de locatie, dicht bij of in Donana vinden we fijn.

Liked: Very nice place with warm and welcoming people.

Located in a quiet area apx 10 minutes from Almonte. Large land with all possibilities, Glamping, camping, caravans and mobile homes. Nice layout with reception and shop in front, close to the food temple. Here you can put your name on the list for a vegan breakfast, lunch and dinner at very affordable prices.

Nice and clean shower (outdoor and indoor) and toilet facilities close by.

Pool area with a nice and well kept saltwater pool.

If you feel like some spirituality and guidance you can choose from a menu of different treatments like a combo ceremony and other guidance.

My plan was to stay for two days only, but due to some car issues, I stayed for 2 weeks. I now think it was meant to be, I have had the best time ever😃

Global Tribe is definitely worth a visit 🥇

Liked: Alles was echt fantastisch en dat voor een hele gunstige prijs. Vriendelijke mensen die bij aankomst zorgden voor een mooie plek. Het zwembad was ook geweldig.

Local attractions

If you're looking to explore the local area, you can hire bikes on site and get pedalling – scenic spots within the Doñana national park are about 10 kilometres away, so there are ample opportunities to visit the pristine wetlands, flocks of flamingos and coastal lagoons that make this part of the Andalusian coast so special. The nearest beach is at Matalascañas, about half an hour away by car. The resort has lots of sandy spots to choose from as it extends for several kilometres along the coast; sea temperatures generally peak at a very comfortable 21-24°C in the summer months. For those who fancy roaming further afield, the site is about an hour's drive from the Portuguese border, introducing the tempting possibility of day trips to the beaches of the Algarve. Also just down at the coast is Huelva (half an hour's drive), where you can visit Cathedral of La Merced and Museum of Huelva or just take a stroll through the pretty streets. This was the place where Christopher Columbus launched his voyage to the New World, and if you take a little trip out of the city (40 minutes from the campsite) you can see replica ships at Muelle de las Carabelas and wander through La Rábida Monastery, where the explorer stayed while planning his travels.
