Ready to explore the fabulous scenery of Fiordland National Park? Manapouri Holiday Park is in an excellent position for doing just that – this spacious and scenic holiday park is right on the edge of the national park, in the village of Manapouri and close to several spectacular locations used for the Lord of the Rings films.
That handy location puts you in prime position to explore this gorgeous scenery however you wish – the surrounding area is full of options for hikes, bike rides, boat trips and freshwater swims in the waters of the adjacent Lake Manapouri. That said, the park’s own setting is pretty scenic too, so you could just settle down at your campsite and get a good flavour of the area’s views and vibes. It’s all pretty laidback here so you’re welcome to set up your campsite as you like it – awnings, gazebos and outdoor furniture included.
There are a couple of places to eat in the village, but self catering is also straightforward at this park, as guests can use the shared kitchen, communal barbecue and picnic tables. Other shared facilities include a wifi connection, a laundry room and bathrooms with showers and toilets.
