The beach at Callantsoog is a fabulous one for all sorts of holidays – it’s several kilometres long so there’s heaps of space for swimming (in safe waters with summer lifeguards), sandcastle building, kite flying, sunbathing, kitesurfing, land yachting or simply strolling along the sands. Sound tempting? It’s all only five minutes’ drive/bike ride away from Rekreatiecentrum De Nollen, a welcoming and sustainable North Holland holiday park surrounded by lush greenery and with lots of handy facilities on site. A good place to start is at reception, where you can hire bikes, go-karts and child seats, buy launderette tokens and exchange gas bottles as well as pick up handy local info. After that, perhaps head to the park’s hub Paviljoen8 restaurant (you may like to book a spot on the terrace for special celebrations, drinks and dinner.) Themed night-time entertainment during high season includes bingo and pub quizzes. There’s a cosy coffee corner too, where you can get bean coffee, tea and freshly baked rolls in the morning, as well as snacks and ice creams throughout the day. You can also use the campsite app to order groceries at 8ToGo from the comfort of your camping chair, and pick them up the same day from reception. Fun facilities for the kids include a playground with bouncy castle, basketball and beach volleyball courts, football goals and kite-flying areas. Bram the goat is on stand by to greet youngsters, along with his rabbit friends Po, Laalaa and Tinus in the animal field. Ask at reception if you want to give them a treat.

Liked: Der Platz sowie die Sanitäranlagen waren sehr sauber.
Die Mitarbeiter freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Spieleinheiten eher für Kinder bis 6 Jahre.
Restaurant und Brötchenservice toll.
Spaziergang bis zum Strand sehr angenehm in der Natur und durch das schöne kleine Städtchen.
Da Wintersaison hatten wir das ganze Feld für uns allein, fragten uns allerdings wie wir in der Hauptsaison wenn alle Plätze voll sind den WoWa in die Stellplatzlücke bekommen. 😅

Disliked: Eigentlich nichts. Das die hinteren Sanitäranlagen zu waren aufgrund der Wintersaison war etwas unkonfortabler als wenn es offen gewesen wäre.

Liked: Der Campingplatz De Nollen ist ein sehr schöner und ruhiger Ort zum Entspannen.
Die Parzellen sind von der Größe okey.

Die Sanitärenanlagen sind sehr Sauber.
Das Personal freundlich und nett.
Nach Callantsoog zum Einkaufen und zum Strand sind es mit dem Rad nur 6-10.min

Disliked: Mich selber haben die hohen Hecken auf den Plätzen (Z6+7)gestört.Aber ansonsten ist der Platz schön.

Liked: Strand Nähe ca 15 Minuten zu Fuß

Disliked: Gebuchte platz mit Auto gab es dan nicht mehr
Wenig platz da mitten im platz ein Spielplatz gebaut wurde
Personal nicht kompetent
Erst bei früheren abfahrt (5Tage Früher)würde uns dan doch ein neuer Platz angeboten
Wollten wir aber nicht mehr
Restaurant bzw Snackbar Schlecht

Liked: Alles gepflegt, Sanitär sauber und modern, WLAN im Zelt.

Disliked: Müsste immer warten am Schrank, es wird von der reception gesteuert. Wenn Kunden bedient wurden müsste ich aus dem Auto aussteigen und zur reception laufen.

Liked: Helpful and friendly receptionists. Purpose built shower, toilet and washing up buildings and enough for the large site. Very clean facilities. Our pitch area with electric hook up was large but not defined as some other more expensive pitches were with hedges. Quiet site in September though still very busy. Good cycle routes to nearest towns and beaches.

Local attractions

The beach is the main highlight of Callantsoog, but it’s also worth taking some time to stretch your legs on a stroll around the Zwanenwater and Kooibosch nature reserves – both are just a couple of minutes away by bike and a little way back from the coast. There’s a surf school in Julianadorp (10 minutes’ drive) – but if it’s chilly you may prefer the warmer waters of Campanula swimming pool (10 minutes). If you’re here at the right time of year, take a walk through the colourful Kop van Noord-Holland bulb fields (20 minutes); if not, there are tulip-themed exhibits at Land van Fluwel Avonturenparadijs (10 minutes) along with play areas, climbing walls and other fun things for the kids. Need a few more outings for the youngsters? Try the indoor and outdoor attractions as Amusement Park De Goudvis (10 minutes), meet the animals at Dierenpark Hoenderdaell (15 minutes) or head to SkagaVenture (15 minutes) for a trampoline park, laser games and go-karting.
