Path through the site

  • Family-friendly site a five-minute drive from sandy Adriatic beaches
  • Lido di Jesolo 25 minutes’ drive; Venice one hour
  • Bike hire; disabled facilities; a five-minute walk from a supermarket
A long, narrow peninsula between the Venetian lagoon and the Adriatic Sea could be the destination for your next holiday if you stay at Agricamping Ca’ Bodi. This peaceful family-run site in the small Veneto town of Cavallino-Treporti is really convenient for sandy beaches – the nearest one (Spiaggia di Ca’ Vio, with umbrellas for hire and kid-friendly shallow waters) is a five-minute drive away. Can’t be bothered to deal with looking for a parking space? You can walk there in about 20 minutes. Better yet, if you hire a bike on site, you can pedal to the beach in about five minutes. Another selling point is the site’s proximity to the architectural and artistic treasures of Venice. It takes less than one hour to travel by ferry to the Biennale Gardens – and once you’re there, the city is yours to explore on foot. A large path runs through Ca’ Bodi, where privacy between spacious grass pitches is guaranteed by hedges and small trees. The site comes with a toilet block with showers and good facilities for disabled guests, including step-free access and wide doorways. There’s also a washing-up area and a drying room. The nearest supermarket is a five-minute walk away, and there are a few restaurants in nearby Ca’ Savio (five minutes, or a 15-minute walk), plus lots more dining options (from pizza places to ice-cream parlours) along the seafront promenade.

Liked: Wonderful place, excellent for children who love animals. We adults really appreciate the quality and design of all the necessary equipment. Possibility to buy quality food, ice cream and of course excellent coffee. Thank you very much for the possibility of accommodation in your camp.

Disliked: We have no dislikes. The only ,,disadvantage" is the greater distance from Lago di Garda, but renting bicycles, which is possible, is another great activity for the whole family. Distance from the lake is also an advantage in terms of the privacy and tranquility of this place.

Local attractions

The seaside resort of Lido di Jesolo (25 minutes’ drive) is known for its sandy beaches. Family attractions include the Caribe Bay water park, with waterslides, wave pools and an artificial beach dotted with seagrass umbrellas, plus live pirate-themed shows; and Tropicarium Park, home to crocodiles and sharks. Stretching along the banks of the river Piave, the Parco Fluviale in San Donà di Piave (40 minutes) is a good spot for a barbecue or a picnic, or just a stroll along its tree-shaded paths. Be sure to keep an eye out for the resident birdlife: spotted woodpeckers, finches and flycatchers. Where to start in Venice (one hour)? St Mark’s Square, maybe, home to the multi-domed Saint Mark’s Basilica, the elegant architecture of the Doge’s Palace, and St Mark’s Campanile, from the top of which you can see the entire lagoon. The Peggy Guggenheim Collection is the place for modern art enthusiasts, while those who prefer Renaissance and Rococo art, head to the Gallerie dell’Accademia.
