Beach or waterpark? Both are an easy option for days away from family-friendly Caravelle Camping Village by Il Paese di Ciribì. For days of beachside basking and bathing, a shuttle service runs from the site to the sands and sea of Ceriale during summer, with several watersports providers and serviced areas at the resort for active and relaxed days out. More water-based antics can be had at a summer waterpark 100 metres from the site (with discounted access for guests) and with 15 waterslides, a wave pool and whirlpools, as well as two beach volleyball courts, a daytime water disco and a wellness area. Upon arrival, scope out the site and find the outdoor pool area, where you can blissfully bubble away in a hot tub while the kids splash and paddle in their own separate pool. An activity and entertainment programme runs during June, July and August too, to include football, volleyball, ping pong and pétanque tournaments by day and shows, gigs and themed meals in the evenings. A kids' club has games and other junior activities to keep littlies lively, and a shaded play area is set among olive trees with lots of kit for them to clamber on. When famished, fire up one of the communal barbecues or woodfired ovens, or head over to the restaurant for traditional Ligurian dishes and woodfired pizzas to have on the leafy terrace.

Local attractions

A waterpark and a tennis club are both within 400 metres of the site’s entrance, and a beach with surfing, windsurfing and scuba diving is two kilometres away in Ceriale for watersporty sorts. Take a trip down below ground with a visit to Toirano caves, a speedy six kilometres from base, to see Europe’s biggest cave bear graveyard, or a little further afield to Borgio Verezzi caves, hailed as Italy’s most colourful show caves. Plenty of peaceful and family-friendly days are within easy reach too, like exploring Rocca Barbena Castle, 17 kilometres away, or investigating the naval museum and medieval buildings in Albenga. Genoa – birthplace of 15th-century explorer Christopher Columbus – is 80 minutes’ drive away, and has plenty of kid-friendly attractions such as shark sleepovers at the aquarium and boat excursions to watch for whales and dolphins in the Ligurian Sea.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 7 day(s) of arrival.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.

Hired accommodation

Hired accommodation: €100.00 ($176.58) damage/cleanliness/bracelet deposit is required on arrival and will be refunded on departure after inspection of your unit should no damage/losses be found.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
