A peaceful, friendly rural campsite with spacious pitches (EHU/water). Handy for ferry crossings. Facilities clean but dated. Owners helpful, kids enjoyed playground. Cash needed for site & showers.

Liked Pitches very spacious, quiet overnight sleep

Disliked Lack of facilities, like restaurant, bar, supermarket, beverages etc. If you need to eat or drink anything, then bring it with you, as the site doesn't have anything, not even a bottle of water. At night it's too dark, no lights on the site, if you need to use the bathroom, you have to have a light with you,or risking to trip or slip,or even feel down. Lacking of pretty much everything, apart from very spacious pitches and quiet sleep overnight. Toilets, are the basics, no toilet paper and no soap.

In fact there is no bar etc...but the camping is small ..quiet and in the campaign.
There are shops at 5 km of the camping
For the Light it was a mistake this day

Liked Nice and helpfull lady on arrival .
Toilets and showers were spotless.
Nice site but very tacky statics with lots of bad taste ornaments.
A old man just stood and stared as we set up theb wondered around someone else's pitch whilst they weren't there tutting and shaking his head then came back to stare at us again I waved but he just stared most uncomfortable

Liked Lovely owners, very friendly and helpful.
Will definitely be back at this campsite; we wish we had stayed here for longer than one night as we were on our way to Calais so we needed a 1 night stay.
Wifi was excellent and facilities were perfect.

Liked De stilte, het vlakke land, de schone toiletten en douches en internet ( gratis) Mooie grote plekken. Het prachtige natuurgebied Etang du Rommelear een absolute must voorwandelaars, vogel en amfibieën en reptielen liefhebbers ..

Liked Chouette petit camping familial, propriétaires sympathiques.
Sanitaires carrects.
Petite plaine de jeux en plein millieu, pratique pour surveiller les enfants.

Disliked Pas d'électricité sur tous les emplacements, mon câble était heureusement assez long pour traverser trois parcelles mais le jour du départ, un camping car était garé dessus.

From the memorials and monuments in virtually every town and village, to the numerous museums, bunkers and forts dotting the landscape, you won’t be able to ignore the lasting influence of World War II on the northern parts. The military exhibits in the enormous former bunker at Blockhaus d’Eperleques (20 minutes) and Dunkirk’s Operation Dynamo museum are two top picks; if you’re really into the subject, it’s worth the hour’s trip to the coastal batteries and Museum of the Atlantic Wall at Audinghen. If it’s wind and the water you want, make for Gravelines (half an hour) where there’s kitesurfing and kayaking to be had, or head into the Platier d’Oye nature reserve 40 minutes away for walks through a dune ecosystem visited by egrets, osprey and black and white storks. For town pursuits, Dunkirk’s zoo and contemporary art museum add a bit of colour to a shopping trip, and it’s just over an hour to the attractive city of Lille, where the paintings in the Palais des Beaux-Arts compete for your attention with the Art Deco ‘skyscraper’ and a massive antiques market. Feeling competitive? There’s paintballing at Teteghem (half an hour), go-karting at Gravelines, and just over the border in Belgium, a whole load of laughs, shrieks and thrills on the rides of the Plopsaland theme park (40 minutes).
