A French site in a wine-growing region – quelle surprise. But there's even more to Camping Le Rebau than this happy happenstance, as it's not only in the vinoland of the Hérault, but is only about 12 kilometres away from the blue waters of the Med. Wine and sea: la perfection, surely… That tempting mix is located in the town of Montblanc – not anywhere near actual Mont Blanc (that’s about five hours away) but in the southern French region of Languedoc-Roussillon, between Cap d'Agde, Béziers and Pézenas. The park is a peaceful one filled with colourful flowers and trees to provide welcome shade and privacy around the pitches. It’s a rather fine spot for couples and families alike: as the grownups are drawn to the prospect of local wine tasting and touring, so will the nippers most likely be approving of the swimming pool, playground, pétanque court, TV room and activities laid on throughout the summer. Naturally, there’s a bar on site where you can sample a local tipple or two; it’s also worth noting the presence of a sizeable wine co-op just next door (how handy). Time for eats? Barbecues are welcome, and there are restaurants, bakeries, bars and a supermarket all within a few minutes’ tottering distance.

  • The outdoor swimming pool is open between 01/07 and 15/09 (subject to weather conditions).
  • Entertainment and activities are available between 10/07 and 26/08.
  • Reception is unmanned after 6 p.m.. Please inform the campground while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time so that the team can provide information about your unit/site.

Great spot for a quiet break, with roomy, shady sites. Enjoyed the clean pool and nearby town with wineries. Facilities are clean but a bit dated. Some experienced noise and occasional staff issues.

Disliked De camping zat vol met jongeren die wiet rookte en die tot midden in de nacht herrie maakte. Onze complete camper rook naar wiet en onze kinderen konden er niet van slapen. De camping heeft hier niet op gehandhaafd. Ook reden er verschillende met hun auto’s met een veel te hoge snelheid over de camping.

Het sanitair is flink verouderd.

De bar is alleen open van 16:00 uur tot 21:00 uur.

Disliked La population , toute le 93 était au rendez vous . On dirait un camps de vacances pour cité .
Sanitaire hors d’âge .
L’entretien et malheureusement en voyage avec l’amabilité de l’accueil .
Pour les emplacement on dirait qu’un troupeau de sanglier a labourer le terrain .

Disliked Les douches ainsi que les sanitaires étaient dans un état lamentable( selles qui ressortent des wc turc , les toilettes dégoûtante, les douches remplies de crasse (sang , tampons usager , ect…) malgré le fait que nous demandons de nettoyer , rien n’est fais , pas possible de se faire rembourser. La dame de l’accueil est désagréable et très longue. L’eau du bac à pied de la piscine étais noir de crasse .

Liked Possibilité de changer facilement d’emplacement si celui attribué ne nous convient pas. Assez bien ombragé. Emplacement assez spacieux

Disliked Accueil vraiment moyen, personnel pas aimable du tout. Très mal fréquenté par des campeurs qui ne respectent pas les autres, autant pour les nuisances sonores à toutes heures que pour les règles d’hygiène à la piscine. Aucun personnel pour faire respecter un minimum les règles de bonnes conduite. Des animations plus que sommaires (cache-cache, rallye photos….) seulement deux soirées animées en une semaine.

Disliked Camping de cassos. Sanitaires dégoûtants. Les gens sont agressifs, pas respectueux. Il n’y a aucun personnel le soir, aucune gestion. Donc c’est le box

Local attractions

So so much to do in this part of the south of France... especially if you're a historyhead... Traces of the Gallo-Roman period can be found at the mouth of the Hérault River, where the Phoenicians founded the city of Agde 2,500 years ago, built with volcanic stones from Mont Saint-Loup (the city is nicknamed the Black Pearl for its monuments built with volcanic rock). Saint-Etienne Cathedral is in Agde, along with architecture dating from when the port was founded in 540BC. Take a look at Cap d'Agde too, which can be visited by boat or catamaran. And that's just to start you historyheads off... see also the ancient Via Domitia running along the A9 highway through the old villages of Castelnau-de-Guers, Pinet, Pomerols and Saint-Thibéry, and the Canal du Midi, constructed by Pierre-Paul Riquet in the 17th-century to connect the Garonne River to the Étang de Thau on the Mediterranean. The canal runs from the city of Toulouse down to the Étang de Thau, and through Agde and Béziers, a few kilometres from Camping Le Rebau. Also nearby, make for the small village of Montblanc about ten minutes from Cap d'Agde and Béziers to visit the adventure park Val d'Hérault Nature, where over 1,000 animals, thousands of plants and flocks of exotic birds live in reproduced natural habitats.
