Look at this for a lovely location for an island getaway – Losinj Glamping is tucked away among the trees at a campsite right by the beach about 10 minutes' drive from Mali Losinj.
Fresh air, sea views and outdoor activities are in good supply here – and the fully equipped safari tents ensure you’ll be able to mix that adventurous spirit with a good dose of comfort for a chilled-out seaside holiday.
These spacious tents have been built on wooden platforms, so they’re solid underfoot and have plenty of space for indoor and outdoor relaxation. Each one sleeps up to six (in two twin rooms and a double sofa bed) and has all bed linen, towels and cooking kit provided. The kitchen is kitted out with a cooker, fridge, kettle and coffee maker, and there’s a good collection of furniture both inside and out on the covered deck area.
With all those practicalities sorted, you’ll be able to get on with the important business of enjoying your holiday. For some that will mean many hours on the beach; others who need a bit more activity might like to play tennis, hit the gym or take advantage of free access to the site’s waterpark. There are also indoor and outdoor playgrounds for the kids, and daily activities in summer.
Not worn out yet? Hire bikes to explore the local area or head to the watersports centre for instruction in sailing, paddleboarding, windsurfing or scuba diving.
With all this to fill your days, you may find that cooking falls by the wayside – and that's no problem, as there’s a restaurant on site serving up local dishes as well as popular favourites like pizzas.

Local attractions
Let’s be realistic… you may well end up spending the majority of your holiday on site, either chilling out under the trees or hitting the beach. But if you do want to get out and about there are a few things you can easily reach for a change of scenery.
Your first options, in fact, are more beaches – perhaps pebbly Veli Žal beach (five minutes' drive), which has loungers and places to eat, or the more wild and remote Liska Slatina beach (25 minutes). Meanwhile, if you'd like to see what lies under the surface, you can join snorkel tours from Veli Lošinj (15 minutes).
If you really do need a break from the beach, take yourselves instead for a fragrant stroll around The Lošinj Aromatic Garden (five minutes) or visit the Museum of Apoxyomenos 910 minutes) to see its one and only exhibit: an ancient Greek bronze statue of an athlete, which was salvaged from the sea bed after almost two thousand years.
