  • Dog-friendly and peaceful park with rural river views
  • Defined family-friendly and adults-only fields
  • Many walks available nearby
A view… by a river… well of course. Riverview Touring Park in south-west Wales has the scenic River Gwili flowing along part of its boundary: you should settle down here immediately with river view and book. Although the site is in a peaceful rural setting, it's easily reached from Junction 49 of the M4 and other major routes and has easy access to the attractions and activities of Carmarthenshire and south Wales. It faces south, is filled with native trees, wildflowers and wildlife as well as the river views, and covers six acres with a woodland walk linking to the five-acre hay meadow – both topping spots for strolls for walking the dog. (Another walk is available across the bridge and up a track skirting a wooded valley.) Riverview is owned by Sian and Andy, who live on site with the mission of helping guests have as peaceful and enjoyable a stay as possible. The facilities they've added include four sinks and drainers for washing up, and a modern toilet and shower block with a family room, disabled access and (always a winner) underfloor heating. Everyday essentials like milk, bread, soft drinks, cakes, sweets and some local produce are available in the small shop at reception, along with free-range eggs when the chickens are in production and local bacon and sausages when available.

Power optional concrete slab caravan site

Liked: Liked the spacious pitches, beautiful scenery. Play park for the children to play on, ford which we spent a bit of time throwing stones into the river, small woodland walk. Shower was nice and hot and clean.
We had a toddler with us so were up on the family fields, nice to see the option to use an adult only field for people who don't want to be surrounded with noisy children.

Disliked: Only two showers but the site was quiet so I had no trouble accessing when required, but can imagine busier times it getting overwhelmed.

Power optional concrete slab caravan site

Liked: It was peaceful and situated in a beautiful area. Very well kept and the shower block was spotless and well heated.
They made a quaint club house with a bar which was a wonderful way to spend Saturday evening.
The owners were on site and extremely helpful in every aspect.

Disliked: A bit close to duel carriageway do we couldn't walk to the village but that can't be helped and the site itself is just beautiful

Power optional concrete slab caravan site

Liked: Great location, facilities clean and warm, quite. Free washing machine and liked PAYG electric hook up.

Disliked: Hardstanding pitches and roads need some TLC (potholes and mud coming through hardstanding). ELSAN point needs a bit of an upgrade.

Power optional concrete slab caravan site

Liked: Nice quiet site and as it was late in the season, not many campers on site. The staff were very accommodating, when I realised I had not booked a fully serviced pitch and moved us the next morning onto one.

The little snack bar near the turning onto the site is awesome, with some of the best breakfast baps we've had.

Power optional concrete slab caravan site

Liked: Booking was very easy and Riverview is a lovely site! The facilities were clean and with the underfloor heating, the shower block was toasty! There are a lot of places to visit in the area, so the site being close to the motorway is an absolute bonus! Riverview ticked lots of boxes for us and we hope to stay in the future.
