A magical place!
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Everything: the friendly welcome, the setting, the pitches and the facilities all so well thought out and put into practice. Even the weather was at its best!

Great, pretty much what a campsite should be
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Camped here for two nights night with my son (8 yo), on our annual father-son trip. A very warm welcome and help getting our stuff from the car to the pitch. Lovely site, the car didn't move as we walked everywhere including the 4 hour round trip up Crug Hywel and back. A great place to sit by the fire and watch it get dark. We'd come back.

Our first time on this type of site and would highly recommend.
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Location, only a short walk into Crickhowell, nicely spaced and discreet pitches with a fire pit. Staff were so friendly and helpful!!

A lovely laid back campsite, well situated for town and walking.
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Very friendly owners, they came down to meet me and show me around and transport my tent and stuff to the pitch. The pitch was very private and not far from the loo, but far from anyone else, so I felt very secluded and a bit wild campy! The views were amazing of the mountains in the distance. The sunset made them glow orange and pink.
The site was very clean and all the different bins for recycling were evident. Tap water was available to drink in barrels around the campsite.
Disliked Not the fault of the site at all, but as it was so dry, the ground was a bit lumpy and rock hard. In normal years I am sure it would have been fine!

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked I was only here for one night for a stop over before a days hiking so I didn't really have chance to fully enjoy the site but I instantly knew I would want to come back another time and stay for longer. I had such a warm welcome on arrival and I loved the secluded pitches behind the ferns, it made it feel really cosy. Lovely touches around the campsite like the beautiful artwork in the loos. The location is perfect for hikes and pubs for food etc and great value for money - I was not expecting such a lovely campsite for what you pay per night. will definitely be coming back!

Liked The staff were so friendly and accommodating. We were slightly unprepared and they let us borrow some camping gear. The fire was also a major plus and I’d highly recommend

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked A warm welcome from one of the sons, who unfortunately his name escapes me.
Compost toilet was odourless and tidy.
The pitches are well spaced apart and give privacy.
An easy walk into town for beer and some more beer.
There's a canal nearby for added interest.
Only stayed for one night so the spring cold shower didn't sound very appealing.
If I was staying longer I'd make my own arrangement for a warm one.
Easy to use wheel barrows to move your stuff to the pitch.

Highly recommended and we will definitely use Camp Crick again.
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Such a lovely, unspoiled camping field. Very friendly owners and lovely views.
We loved the spacious pitches surrounded by ferns and the ready made camp fire area.
I didn’t dislike anything but composting loos and cold showers aren’t for everyone!
