  • Hanging tree tent at a private woodland area in rural Ceredigion
  • A 15-minute drive to the coast path and beaches; New Quay 20 minutes
  • Off-grid 'wild glamping' with firepit, kitchen and shower provided
Fancy some time spent hanging out in the trees – quite literally? Head to Little Valley Wales, where you’ll be staying in a private hanging tent suspended between the trees in a gorgeous secluded patch of broadleaf woodland in the Ceredigion countryside. This is a proper nature experience, where you'll stay in a private and peaceful patch of land known as Base Camp, which is all set up for a 'wild glamping’ experience. That means you'll be completely immersed in nature, with just the birds and other wildlife for neighbours, but you’ll also have some facilities provided to make life a little more comfortable. The hanging tent itself sleeps two, but there’s space for a pup tent on the ground if you'd like to bring kids along (you’ll just need to add their names to your booking). Your area including a compost toilet, a hot shower and a camping kitchen (with gas hob, sink, pots and pans) plus a hammock and a firepit/barbecue with seating. Please note there’s no mains power, and you'll need to bring your own bedding and towels. Getting to this secluded off-grid accommodation area involves climbing a steep track, so it's not suitable for guests with mobility issues. The rewards of making it up the slope are fabulous though – especially if you get a clear night for stargazing in the dark skies. A small on-site shop sells a few essentials, and you can pick up meat for the barbecue from the butcher a mile away in Rhydlewis. Ffostrasol (five minutes' drive) has a pub if you’d rather a meal out. When you're not hanging in your hammock you can be out exploring the local footpaths or heading over to the coast (15 minutes’ drive) for walks and beach days.
