  • Peaceful family park with loch and mountain views
  • Fishing, mini beach and private jetty
  • Communal lounge with TV and games, play area and family amenities
If you've ever seen Loch Lomond, you'll have spotted right away that it's one of the lushest and most peaceful places in all the land (and that surely is saying something). A holiday here at some stage is a must – and if you want quiet and safe surroundings, well-maintained pitches and a bit of angling action thrown in, settle yourself for a stay at Loch Lomond Holiday Park. The setting here is sublime, just off the A82 but right on the lochside, among spectacular greenery and with easy access to the site's private jetty and small sandy beach. It's near the hamlet of Inveruglas on the west shore of Loch Lomond, within the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park and about 13 miles from the Loch Lomond Park Centre. Quad biking, castles, boat cruises, sailing and kayaking are all easily available in under an hour. Among the well-kept facilities are a play area and a lounge with TV and games. You can also cast your line off around the site to see what fishy specimens can be landed. Also on site are clean and tidy toilet and shower blocks (with family facilities), a washing-up area and a launderette.

From the manager: Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the location, spacious pitches, and beautiful views, and that our team made you feel welcome during your stay.

We also really appreciate your comments about the facilities. We understand that the limited number of showers and toilets can be inconvenient at busy times, and your feedback is very valuable as we look at ways to improve.

We hope to welcome you back again soon for another stay by the loch.

Liked Unfortunately we arrived a day earlier than planned. Phoned up and asked if there was any chance if we could move our paid leave one day forward. Before I could say anything else I was informed that they were fully booked and that wouldn’t be an option. The place didn’t look that busy so we went online and there was still 3 pitches available for that day for Motorhomes that we could have booked there and then if we wanted too but because she lied we decided to go elsewhere and give someone else our money!

Disliked The next day when we should have gone to this site we decided to go home instead, as we were at the end of our tour and she had left a bitter taste in my mouth. Check in was from 2pm still 5pm. It was only at 5:40pm when we received an email for the gate entrance code to get in. Every other place that we had been to in the last 3 weeks had been amazing. So I can’t give feedback on the actual place and its amenities .

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments. I’m sorry to hear about your experience.
Since reading your review, I have personally checked our availability for the date in question. I can confirm there were no pitches available, and our receptionist was not lying. We are unsure why the system appeared to show spaces online at that moment, but I can assure you there was no actual availability to move your booking forward by a day.
It’s also important to note that, even if there had been space, moving a booking forward is not something we are normally able to do. Exceptions can occasionally be made in truly exceptional circumstances, but this was not the case here.
I understand how this may have caused frustration, and I appreciate you raising it so we can continue to monitor both our booking system and communication to ensure clarity for guests.
Kind regards,
Kara, Loch Lomond Reception

Disliked Only 1 shower and one toilet pan
Definitely needs more than 1 shower and toilet for must be 10 touring spaces if average 2 people per ban

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re so pleased you enjoyed the beautiful scenery — it’s something we’re very proud of here.
With regard to the facilities, we find that our single shower and toilet generally meet the needs of guests, as our site is intentionally kept small and peaceful to preserve the atmosphere many people come here for. Most visitors tell us they appreciate the simplicity and tranquility of the setup.
We hope the scenery and surroundings made your stay enjoyable overall, and we’d love to welcome you back again in the future.

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback, we’re pleased to hear you enjoyed the lovely view of Loch Lomond.
We’re sorry if your interaction with a member of staff did not come across as friendly as it should have. We always want guests to feel welcome, so we’ll take this on board.
With regard to your note on the showers, the facilities are simple in style to reflect the rural setting, but we appreciate your comments and will keep them in mind.

Local attractions

The loch – and beach – should keep you and the family/dog busy for a day or three after arriving at the park; after that, plenty more activities and attractions are easily had within driving distance. You could, for example, check out the views over Lochgoilhead (about 30 minutes’ drive west and much recommended), or get out onto the local waters with a Loch Lomond cruise or a guided canoe trip among the spectacular scenery of Loch Goil. Cycling, walking and fishing as well as shopping, restaurants and bars at Portavadie Marina 90 minutes' drive south-west; for more food, a famed and closer option in this area is the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar in Cairndow half an hour’s drive west, a place of acclaimed seafood and smashing views. Also at Cairndow, the Fyne Ales brewery is an environmentally-friendly venture set up in old farm buildings at Achadunan, with tours and a shop open to visitors. There's also the Ardkinglas estate, a 13th-century house with over 12,000 acres of hills and landscaped parkland (although do check its opening hours before you set off). Other options are Inveraray Castle, 40 minutes to the west; Inveraray Jail (with ghost hunting available) and Auchindrain Township Museum, just under an hour’s drive west.
