What customers say

A peaceful, scenic gem with top owners. Praised for views, quiet, and clean facilities, though some find them basic but functional. Watch for ads and narrow lanes for big vehicles. A welcoming, tranquil escape many want to revisit.

Powered concrete and grass caravan site

Liked Picnic bench, aggregate hard standing

Disliked Having to book and pay an extra supplement to use the toilets and shower block which I was not aware of, although a toilet was available on the adjoining tent pitch site.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your review and for staying at Willow Farm. I’m sorry you hadn’t noticed the additional payment for the shower block. It’s just under the booking and I have found guests don’t always want the shower rooms and so prices reflect this. But guests have otherwise been very happy to pay the £4 extra to use them. They are very well presented with hot showers, soap, daily cleaning & a daily supply of toilet rolls. If guests have missed the extra they ask me on arrival and they are very welcome to use all the facilities on offer at Willow Farm.
All the best.

Unpowered concrete and grass caravan site

Liked From Sue: loved the stunning location and the facilities were outstanding. Sharon’s communication was top notch and she couldn’t have been more helpful. Shower blocks were excellent and superbly cleaned and it was a nice touch having the communal area for washing up with all the mod cons provided

From Paul: beautiful scenery in an idyllic location. Access to a four ring gas hob in the kitchen and washing up shack was very useful when we ran out of gas onboard the van. If our fridge had broken down we’d have used that in the kitchen as well :-) …Sharon and Tom we’re truly lovely people who obviously care about the holiday makers staying at their site and do all they can to ensure your stay is just perfect.

Disliked What’s to dislike? Absolutely nothing. We loved our stay and we will be back.

From the manager: Thank you Sue and Paul for such a lovely review. It was lovely to meet you both and that’s what makes it all worth it. Thank you for staying and we hope to see you both again soon.

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked I honestly think this is one of the best if not the best campsite we've stayed on. The facilties were absolutely perfect and so clean, the showers were nice and hot and again absolutely spotless. The communal kitchen is such a lovely little touch and it's stocked with anything you need to cook a meal, make a cuppa etc. Even the washing up area is lovely, black bags if needed, tea towels etc. I always say it's the small touches that make all the difference and this is very true at Willow farm. Very nice views and listening to the owls at night was lovely. We will 100% be back. Sharon was very helpful in answering any questions I had. Both Sharon and Tom have made this site a wonderful place. Thank you to you both once again.

Disliked Nothing.

Unpowered concrete and grass caravan site

Liked Very quiet and peaceful site with lovely views. Spotless facilities which were new. The washing up hut was great - it felt like being in someone's kitchen. Also, great communication with owners.

Disliked Nothing really.

From the manager: We’re so glad you enjoyed staying at Willow Farm. It was lovely to meet you.
I’m sorry you felt rushed at the shower. There are two separate toilets in the camp field but I think that weekend was particularly busy. Even so I’d like to think my guests could shower in peace !
We hope you will return and thank you for enquiring after Tom… he is home !! All the best. Sharon x

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked So peaceful, with a lovely view of a neighbouring farm's sunflowers, and sheep (and you may spot deer or three in another field too).
You can choose your spot.
I felt very safe and even left my tent flap open for the whole night, to get the feeling of being under the stars.
A great short walk through a wood with a pretty stream to Stoke Abbott, a fascinatingly historical village.
Messages with the owners imparted a friendly, relaxed vibe.
I hope to return one day with more time to enjoy the local walks than I had on this occasion (1 night's stay).

Disliked The pitch I chose had a slight slope, which I only realised when I went to lie down, but it was solved by turning myself 180 degrees so that my head was a bit higher than my feet! After doing that I was no longer even aware of the slope.
There is no shower in the tent field area, but it seems you could pay extra to use the facilities of the hard-standing area. (I didn't, on this occasion). May I suggest a shower next to the toilets in the tent field, which could take coins or tokens?

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: We’re so glad you enjoyed the camp site and would like to return 🤗
Regarding the showers.. there are 3 full bathrooms with showers for a small fee. And these are available to all campers at the site.
The fee just covers soap, cleaning, hot water & toilet rolls. And there’s a little hop over for the guests from the tent field to easily access them.
Hope this helps for future visits 🙂
