  • Quiet countryside glamping at a Dorset farm on the Isle of Purbeck
  • A 10-minute drive to the Jurassic Coast, beaches and Wareham
  • Pre-erected furnished bell tents with a gazebo; farm shop nearby
West Holme Glamping is a micro-site with pre-erected bell tents in the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Just the job for romantic mini-breaks or holidays for small families, it's set in 20 acres, so there’s plenty of privacy and lots of space to roam around. The bell tents here come equipped with a double bed, rugs, picnic tables, lanterns, a gazebo and a gas barbecue. Cooking utensils such as pans, plates and glasses are also provided. The three showers and three toilets are shared between six tents, so there’s plenty of privacy and space. You'll just need to bring your own bed linen and towels or add them to your booking. You can explore the area by car – medieval castles, beaches, National Trust sites and the Jurassic Coast are all less than half an hour’s drive away. Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove are 20 minutes' drive away. Pretty market towns like Dorchester (also 30 minutes) or seaside resorts like Swanage (20 minutes) are all worth a mosey, while historic Wareham has Saxon town walls and riverside churches to explore. The sandy beaches of Studland and Swanage are also within half an hour's drive of the site. If you’re feeling energetic, the Isle of Purbeck has plenty of walks and bike rides on the rocky peninsula overlooking the English Channel, as well as parts of the South West Coast Path. The local farm shop is a five-minute walk and sells the very best of local Dorset produce if you fancy cooking on the barbecue. And if you don’t, there’s a cosy tea shop attached, and there are plenty of gastropubs serving real ales and great grub in less than a 15-minute drive too.

Liked: Frankie meet us and showed us were to go. Everything was set up waiting. Everything was clean, and Sinead and Frankie were always around if you needed anything. It was our first time glamping and our 7 year old loved it especially when their dog came to visit at breakfast.

Bell tent (deluxe)

Liked: Great place to stay. Location wise, Very close to main attractions. Well furnished with pretty much everything needed for the stay, intact it was more than what we have expected. The owners were very kind and flexible and easy to reach out if needed, which matters a lot for us especially when travelling with young children we felt very assured and safe. Great hot water showers, clean toilets and cooking equipment. Picnic benches with shade is amazing. Kieran was very kind to receive us on a rainy, dark day! It felt safe and secure to stay away from home. It is well equipped, beyond expectations , I would definitely consider visiting again.

Bell tent (deluxe)

Liked: The setting was wonderful and just 10 minutes from Lulworth Cove.
The hosts were brilliant, bringing ice blocks every morning and evening and checking if we needed anything.
The tents were well set up with gas bbq, stove, kettle, crockery, cutlery and basic cooking equipment, fire pits and wood available for hire.
Warm outdoor showers and flushing toilets.

Disliked: Lack of sink for washing up - bring a washing up bowl.

Liked: The owners of the land were Lovely they knew my name on arrival and made me and parent feel very much at home. They came around to everyone on the land 2-3 times a day to check everything was ok with everyone and if anyone needed anything such as wood for the fire pits or ice packs for cool boxes they provided it there and then for us. The location and view was spectacular and out Teepee ⛺️ was Magical the bed was exceptionally comfortable and we had plenty of room for our things.
