Liked Had a lovely stay at Wraysholme Creamery, the pitch itself is a good size and nice and flat. Lots of toilets around the field and i believe there was a shower cubicle but we didnt use it whilst there.
The site has its own icecream creamery and it was fantastic very well priced and huge portions.
A few fields up was where the plane takes off and lands after dropping of the skydivers so we spent a lazy afternoon watching all the skydivers drop back down.
Nearest pub is prob around 15 min easy walk but we didnt visit so cant comment about it.
Spoke to Steve (hope thats right terrible with names) and his lovely wife to be who were both very pleasant and helpful.
Would deffo stay again and recommend this site as a good little base to set up at.
Disliked Nothing really, the lane down to the site is a little windey so take it slow going down but there are passing places

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked A brilliant site with absolutely lovely owners, who were always willing to chat about the farm. Had a long weekend here with my wife and it was great. Onsite cafe for coffees and ice creams/milkshakes made directly from the dairy farm. Breakfasts in the mornings and other options for eating on an evening. Would definitely stay here again.

Liked This campsite is very family-friendly and has plenty of animals on-site, which my son absolutely loved. The ice cream was incredible, and the food was just as good. The hosts were extremely friendly—honestly, they were what made the weekend so special. They were always helpful and welcoming. Overall, it’s a lovely family-run business that we truly enjoyed.

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Great Campsite, flat, spacious, friendly, owners came checking to make sure everyone was ok, they checked the toilets throughout the day, re filling loo roll. Lots around to do walks, they had a cafe on site with donkeys and cows, milkshake was amazing! Great price! Offered Pizzas at night (could just be weekends). Owners dealt with a sticky situation with other campers that had drank too much at night by coming down and shutting them down straight away. Beautiful views, loved watching the parachutes sky dive in the next field. Great walking routes, village isn’t too far, with a fabulous pub, everyone is super friendly including locals. Great for families! Our daughter made a friend on the campsite and we also made a friend too.
Disliked It’s not that I didn’t dislike it but toilets are portaloos (all though always clean and checked very regularly) they are spread out in different areas of the field and we just happen to pitch close to one that lots of people used.

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked We loved this campsite and location, so much so we stayed an extra night. The owners were friendly with a cafe on site serving breakfast and evening pizza , however the best ever Ice cream, made on site from the cows on the farm.
Also on the farm is an array of older farming equipment with Steven being willing to share the information on every item.
This is a new business and wish Paul all the success in the future.
The nearest shop and cash machine is about a mile and a half away in Flookbrough, chippy and Chinese too!
For the bird watchers head to shoreline through Flookbrough, and lovely spot for the sunset!
Cartmel is worth the visit with a priory and quaint shops, bars and restaurants serving good food.
The farm itself has history in a building attached dating back hundreds of years, stories of Cromwell, well worth a good look around and google the History for further info.
Be prepared for midges, early evening fire to keep them at bay needed, take your own pit or small bar b bucket.
Small area for pot washing on site, tap with drinking water portaloo and a porta shower.
I have mobility issues and the owner arranged the delivery of a disabled toilet, which was extremely kind and considerate.
