What customers say
Site's being spruced up! Peaceful rural spot near Newcastle, great warden Gordon. Spacious pitches, but loos/showers are dated. Some reckon it's pricey now, but keen for a return visit post-renos.

Nice site - shame about poor facilities.
Fully-serviced gravel caravan site
Liked Nice tidy site with spacious plots. Very welcoming informative site manager. Fairly clean standard in toilet block. Near Ovingham village. Nice to hear the hooting owls at night. Quiet site.
Disliked Poor standard of washing facilities. Only ONE very dated shower with poor water flow. No TV reception or WiFi signal.
VERY EXPENSIVE at £38.50 for what you get.

From the manager: Thank you for your review and we have taken your comments on board.
As you will have seen the Park has already had a major refurbishment with new turf, tarmac and trees planted etc...to elevate the look and feel for visitors.
Whilst the toilet and shower facilities are fit for purpose and clean, it is part of our plans to upgrade these as well in the near future.

From the manager: Thank you for your review and the positives you have mentioned, we hope overall you enjoyed your stay.
I have taken note of the comments regarding the contractors, and will look into what time they are starting their work?
Now the tarmac has been laid on the roads there shouldn't be any further work that will cause major disruption to guests.
We will be back with pleasure.

Liked We liked the site, it was just what we needed for a night, to break our long journey home, the site warden couldn’t have been more helpful, it was very much appreciated. Once the site is finished it will be really remarkable, very appealing on the eye, they are working so hard.

Great site
Fully-serviced gravel caravan site
Liked Very spacious, clean & tidy pitch.
Site warden very helpful and knowledgeable about surrounding area.
Lots of investment being made on the site by the owners. No doubt a new or upgraded toilet block will be on their list. All be it ,the present toilet is more than functional ‘dated but clean ‘

Liked We loved our stay here, out of season so really peaceful.
The warden Gordon was on site to see us arrive, he was so friendly & super informative about the area.
The toilet facilities were very old but clean.
Disliked The washing up area could be better. Right next to waste disposal and in a cramped space.
Suggestion would be to put outside dish washing facilities on the paved area next to toilet block, where the loan bench sits.
Some sort of open sheltered sink area. Basic but clean. Especially when in busier seasons.
With all the money being spent on the site with the static caravans , surely upgrading the facilities would be a good idea too.

Disliked The dryer did not work and the shower rooms and laundry were very old with lots of spiderwebs and very low water pressure for showers- an upgrade of the toilet and laundry block would get you a five star review
