Liked: Lovely views, lots of space, Pete was really friendly, really helpful and a great host. Great value for money and we preferred his site to the more “organised “ and less personal sites.
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Peter was so so friendly. So kind and helpful with our stay. Really made us feel welcome.
Was quiet on the field so it was a peaceful stay. The views are incredible. Luckily we picked a couple of days with gorgeous weather, so we could make the most out of it.
We had such a good night’s sleep - couldn’t hear the cars on the main road at all. All facilities were very clean.
Went to a nearby pub (The Forge) for their quiz night at 9:00 (as recommended by Peter!!). Was such a nice little pub and quite cheap!
Disliked: Wasn’t a problem as the pitch was quiet, but the toilets/shower is all in one room, so only one person can use them at a time. Not an issue with us though. They were super clean.

Liked: A quiet location, yet only a few minutes drive from the centre of Whitby. It is also on the park and ride route, as parking in town can be an issue.
I was offered and excepted help un hitching and hitching up my caravan. Wooden chocks were provided to level it up on the grass pitch.
It was exactly what I wanted, a no fuss quiet site for a couple of nights. Many thanks to Peter for his help.

Unpowered grass and earth tent site
Liked: Space, the camping area was nicely flat and the bins were conveniently placed.
Disliked: The toilets need updating quite badly, as one of the sinks didn't work and there was only the one entrance door and no divisions between the toilets and the shower.

Liked: Close to whitby. Easy to reach.
Disliked: No one to greet me. Only a sign to get to the far end to set up your tent. On,y running water at that point. For the other facilities (one shower, toilet and wash basin in one shed, which is very inconvenient since when one person uses the shower, the whole building is locked and can’t be used by other guests) you have to walk uphill for 250 yards.

From the manager: On your arrival there is a sign giving you the options of six pictures. Also my mobile number if you need any help plus there is further signs telling you go straight on. a little further there’s a sign showing to the right plus there is signs for each pitch from one to 6 and you can have the choice sorry you didn’t see any of the signs I have been told that Specsavers do a nice two for one deal hope this will help
Your comment on walking up the hill 250 yards is a little strong either I have gained some extra land or you’ll be walking round in circles at the best it will be 180 yards plus there’s a nice walk back down the hill when you finished taking the air fill your lungs make the most of it listen to the birds it’s the great out doors
End note holiday inn have good arrival desk

Liked: Easy to find and pitching up is easy explained. The farmer is absolutely lovely and very welcoming, explained where you can find everything and told us what was going on in Whitby and gave us plenty of information for best place to shop for food and drinks. Definitely camp here again quiet clean and just basic. Plenty of signal to google for your adventure out and about.
