What customers say
Top adult-only spot for its stellar cleanliness, friendly owners & peaceful vibe. Excellent facilities incl. showers, toilets, honesty shop. Spacious, well-kept pitches often with fire pits. Thoughtful touches, well-run for a comfy escape. Minor grumbles: want electric hook-ups, some road noise.

Fantastic campsite in a gorgeous location with lovely staff.
Unpowered grass site
Liked Location - lovely and quiet but walkable to excellent pub and shop. (We'd highly recommend booking a meal at The Duck pub in Campsea Ashe!) Aldeburgh beach and Sutton Hoo National Trust site are both within 20 mins drive, which are both lovely and well worth a visit.
Facilities - beautifully maintained and easily accessible. The shower rota system during peak morning times works really well, and the kitchen with kettle and toaster was great. There is also a table tennis table, pool table, and social are under a gazebo, which we really enjoyed.
Honesty Shop - really well stocked with snacks, toiletries, and camping essentials (our lighter ran out of fuel but we were able to buy matches). Honesty system is fantastic and respected by all campers - you basically log what you take and settle up at the end of your stay.
Fire Pits - free to use and our favourite bit of our stay! You can buy logs and kindling which are both very reasonably priced and very good quality and have an open fire every night if you wish. We did and it was fantastic, such a lovely touch 😊
Very dog friendly - dogs aren't just tolerated but actively welcomed and we were in heaven seeing all the pups people had brought with them! We are getting a dog shortly and will definitely be coming back to Brick Kiln with our pup.
Staff - Tina and the team were extremely friendly, welcoming, and visible and their customer service is off the charts. Our luggage rack on our car came loose during our stay and the team helped us by lending us a whole rack of allen keys to make sure it was tight and safe. This is clearly a team that loves what they do and I cannot speak of them highly enough, thank you all! ❤️
Disliked Literally nothing - this campsite is ideal if you are looking for an adults only, dog friendly site.

From the manager: I would like to personally thank you for writing such a wonderful review and to include so much detail too - thank you so much. It means the world to us. We work so hard to ensure that all our guests are happy and well looked after and this review says it all to us. I don't think you will ever know just how much this means to us - especially after a busy bank holiday. Thank you again and please come with your new pup! With love Tina and Team x
A quiet, flat site with plenty…
Unpowered grass site
Liked A quiet, flat site with plenty of space. A good range of facilities on offer. Everything from a covered seating area with a pool table and table tennis to a well stocked little shop that is run on an honesty box basis. Fridge / freezer and microwaves available for use too.
Disliked A bit of a walk to the bins at the end of the drive but thats good for getting the steps in! The site is also up a very narrow lane which may be a problem for some.

Liked I do like coming here for a quiet reset. Everyone follows the no music rule, which makes the atmosphere much calmer than other campsites. The use if their fire pits is always a nice option on a summers evening too.

Unpowered grass site
Liked Good location, lovely hosts, quaint and unique facilities, good choice of pitches, covered patio/ eating area, free use of fire pits (wood chargeable), honesty shop is really well stocked
Disliked It’s not really a dislike as it worked for us but the campsite is extremely quiet (no music which is clearly advertised before you book) but it is a quiet and early to bed site x also showers were super powerful but minor. We will come back as it’s genuinely lovely

From the manager: Thanks for your review! Just to clarify — we promise we’re not running a boot camp or a bedtime enforcement agency! Campers are absolutely welcome to stay up, swap stories, sip something nice, and enjoy the stars. We simply ask for consideration with noise after dark so everyone (including the owls) can get some sleep if they want it.
But if you ever do want a hot cocoa and a bedtime story, we’ll see what we can do!
The no music policy is what attracts many campers and repeat customers - for most are looking for peace and quiet. I like to think that I am running a 'retreat' for those who need to rejuvenate their souls in this frenetic life that we lead. T.
