  • A half-hour drive to Warwick Castle; 15 minutes to the Cotswolds
  • Shop, family bathroom and reception area for tourist information
If you’re drawn by the thought of waking up in glorious countryside, and hitting the hay in your cosy pod thoroughly chilled, you’re in luck. Bredon-Vale Caravan and Camping campsite is a peaceful spot near Evesham in Worcestershire, with wonderful views over Bredon Hill and the Malverns. Whether you’re overnighting on a longer journey or hanging around for a while to explore the Worcestershire countryside, everything on site is geared towards your relaxation. All you need to bring is a duvet, pillows and towels – pretty much everything else is ready and waiting for you. Useful bits and bobs in the wooden pods include a kettle, heater and electricity, plus a fridge to store goodies for grilling on the barbecue outside. There are lovely hot showers in the amenities block so you can revitalise after a day’s adventuring, as well as oodles of space in the family bathroom to clean up the kids. When Reception’s open (morning and evening), you can pick up essentials for those ‘oops’ moments, and fresh milk and bread daily. If you need a bit of inspo on how to spend your day, staff there have got plenty of ideas up their sleeves. As well as being surrounded by walks and cycle routes, the site is west-facing, so hopefully you can catch some amazing sunsets (pack the camera) – and thanks to the lack of light pollution in these parts, there are lots of star-gazing ops on clear nights too.

Powered grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked: We liked the site, very tidy, lovely clean showers and toilets.
On the whole a good place to stay

Disliked: Downside, the road noise at night. Boy racers and motorbikes roaring down the road to early hours, more of a lack of traffic cameras and policing.
One small detail, we thought the lady owner of the site was a bit harsh when saying in not a very polite way, that any dogs found off the lead would mean we would be turned off the site.
We had only just driven through the gate and stepped out of our car.
Nothing wrong with the policy of dogs being kept on leads, but please give owners a chance, before the harsh warning

From the manager: So pleased you liked the site and feel that you would visit again! I'm so sorry you didn't feel you could say anything when on site regarding your feelings about the dogs on lead policy - your feedback would have been welcome face to face.
We never used to say anything regarding the dogs on leads - it was just in all the paperwork - however we have weekly incidents with people disregarding the rules of the site by letting their dog off a lead and we felt we needed to reiterate this on arrival. Your feedback will be taken into account and we will not do this going forward, however the management of our site is important so everyone experiences a clean, happy and safe stay.
The amazing weather you had whilst staying with us did attract some motorbike users out on the roads, but we have no control over what happens in the environment outside of our site.

We had a great stay! Will deffo be back if in the area again.

Powered concrete and grass caravan site

Liked: Central location, clean toilets

Disliked: Very tight to get onto pitch, owners said you need movers, however ours are temperamental so we had to manually move it as there was no way there was room to reverse it onto the pitch. Site is basic, very small area to let dogs off lead, and by a busy road so can be noisy. Owners were not friendly

From the manager: I'm sorry you feel your stay was not a positive one, we tried our best to make you feel welcome on arrival and during your stay, which if you look at all our past reviews, is usually something people praise us on. Unfortunately, you did not comply with campsite rules regarding your dogs, which are in place for the safety, comfort and cleanliness of our site. We politely asked you to keep your dogs on a lead (one of which you left without paying for) and I feel this has affected the way you felt about your stay. A strong easterly wind can bring some road noise, but most people describe our site as peaceful and you described our location as good.

Nice site in lovely area.

Unpowered grass tent, campervan or trailer tent site

Liked: Nice quiet location in a lovely part of the country. Facilities clean and showers free which is always a bonus. There's also a shop though we didn't use it.

Disliked: Dog walking area quite small. Little bit pricey at £30 for a pitch with no hook-up.

From the manager: Thank you so much for your 10/10 review! So pleased you enjoyed our free and super clean shower block and that you made use of the small dog walking area. Easter holiday's is high season pricing, so looking forward to seeing you again outside of the holiday's when we are just £25 per night or £12.50 per person....

Local attractions

Keen to hit the footpaths? The Blossom Trail (five minutes’ drive) has three routes, ranging from a leisurely family stroll to a more robust six-mile hike. More walks take in Iron Age remains at Kemerton Camp (25 minutes) on Bredon Hill, the Malvern Hills (40 minutes, for day-long yomps with serious views), and of course, the Cotswolds (15 minutes), where you can also cycle through delightful mellow-stone villages like Bourton-on-the-Water (35 minutes) and Broadway (15 minutes). If you love history, there is plenty to keep the family busy. For a spot of castle-bagging, kids can follow an interactive trail or dress up as medieval knights at Warwick Castle, and there’s a massive play area with zipwires and obstacle courses at Sudeley Castle (both 30 minutes). For a dose of serious culture, take in a play at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon (20 minutes), or book seats at concerts and international film releases at Malvern Theatres (40 minutes).
