What customers say

A neat, quiet, adult-only spot in a serene rural spot with top-notch, spotless facilities. Spacious, private pitches with good shelter. Hosts are friendly & helpful, with a handy summer house and free-range chickens. Great for walks and the coast. Mostly faultless, though a few noted shower flooding/temp issues.

Oak Meadow power optional grass site

Liked Best site of the 4 we stayed ant over our two weeks holiday.

Very quiet. Great size pitch. Toilets/shower block immaculate and regularly cleaned. The showers have a knack but easy once you read the instructions!

Nick is generous with information of places to visit. Lots of great walks from the site. Our dogs enjoyed these. Al pacas nearby. Lovely area.

We were very surprised how beautiful Lincolnshire is. So many great places to visit nearby.

There are chickens roaming wild around the site. Fresh eggs available too. The whole site has beautiful trees. A good information hut as well.

Disliked All great.

From the manager: Thank you so much for such a wonderful review—we’re delighted to hear West End Farm was the highlight of your holiday! It’s lovely to know you enjoyed the peace, the spacious pitches, and the clean facilities, and that the dogs had fun exploring the local walks.

We’re glad you found the shower instructions helpful—they do have a knack, but it means there’s enough hot water for everyone. It’s also great to hear you enjoyed the chickens roaming about (and the fresh eggs from the honesty box near the information hut).

Lincolnshire really is full of hidden gems, and we’re so pleased you had chance to discover its beauty. We’d love to welcome you and the dogs back to the tranquillity of West End Farm again soon.

Will gladly stay there again if I go to that race

Liked It was quiet and peaceful. Was tidy and had all the facilities you need. Was close enough if you needed to get to the supermarket and was a lovely place to come back to after a day watching motorcycle racing.

Muntjac Meadow unpowered grass site

Liked Had a lovely time here during the August bank holiday! Really relaxing campsite with nice spaced out pitches. Was fun to see the chickens roaming around every so often (shame we couldn't get any eggs!) Toilet facilities are great, although I had to make sure to press the shower button very frequently or else the cold will get you 😆 The weather was also great so that was a bonus too.

From the manager: Thank you for your lovely review—we’re so pleased you enjoyed a relaxing bank holiday with us. It’s always a treat when the weather plays nicely too! The chickens do love to make themselves known 😊. For future visits, we do have eggs for sale in the honesty box near the information hut, when the hens are laying.

We appreciate your note about the showers—they’re set up that way to make sure there’s enough hot water for everyone, especially at busy times. Delighted to hear it didn’t get in the way of your stay, and we’d love to welcome you back to West End Farm again soon.

Orchard power optional grass site

Liked Location, facilities, peace and quiet. Very clean, great value for money.

Disliked One very minor issue, the hand dryers in the loos are audible from the pitches, so can get woken by these in the middle of the night. This happened very infrequently, most people use common sense and skip the hand dryers during late hours.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you so much for your lovely review—we’re delighted you enjoyed the peaceful location, clean facilities, and felt we offered great value for money.

We appreciate your note about the hand dryers. It doesn’t happen often, but we understand how it could disturb the quiet, especially at night. We’ll certainly keep an eye on this, as maintaining a restful atmosphere is very important to us.

We’re so pleased you had an enjoyable stay overall, and we’d love to welcome you back to the tranquillity of West End Farm again soon.

Local attractions

Hikers and cyclists are well catered for with long-distance routes like the Viking Way and multi-use Lindsey Trail in the Lincolnshire Wolds National Landscape (15 minutes’ drive). If you’d prefer to make for North Sea beaches, there are ample easy ambles along the seafront at Mablethorpe and Sutton-on-Sea (both 20 minutes), and dog-friendly hikes amid the dunes of Saltfleetby-Theddlethorpe Dunes National Nature Reserve (15 minutes). Postcard-perfect local towns to potter around include Alford (15 minutes), known for an unusual five-sailed windmill, its mix of thatched cottages and townhouses built of tiny red bricks, a buzzing Friday market and themed 1940s weekends. Largely Georgian-era Louth (20 minutes) is a lively market town packed by antique shops, indie cafés and a landmark 18th-century church with a soaring spire. If your interests are of an historical bent, get up close to the 13th-century remains of once-hexagonal English Heritage-managed Bolingbroke Castle, or pay homage to the World War II heroes of Bomber Command at Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre (both half an hour).
