Liked We had a great stay at Deanwood Campsite. We had a non-electric pitch with a great view across the forest. The pitch was a good size. The facilities were clean and well maintained. Our hosts were friendly and keen to help us have an enjoyable stay. We would definitely recommend the site for camping in the Forest of Dean.

Foxglove Field powered grass tent site
Liked Just returned from a 7 night stay. The site staff are friendly, helpful and keep the site spotless. The toilets and showers are really nice and clean. The free to use washing machine and dryers are very handy. The site itself is in an excellent location, with some stunning views out over the forest. The sunsets are pretty impressive too. I would recommend this site.

Foxglove Field powered grass tent site
Liked This was the campsite I picked for my first solo camping trip and it was perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful. It felt safe, clean and well maintained. The site was quite quiet when I was there so I managed to get an end pitch which was perfect for me and the pooch. The views from the site were stunning, photos do not do it justice. The best view can be found from the dog exercising field which is completely secure & enclosed. There are two kitchen areas, one of which was close to my pitch and the toilets and showers were within the same building, as well as the drinking water supply. Both kitchens have a fridge and a freezer and there was plenty of room in the fridge for my little bottle of milk and pack of bacon. On the Saturday night a rustic pizza van came on site where you could pre-order ready for the evening. (Nothing to do with the campsite but the pizzas were on the small side for the price, which I had anticipated so ordered a garlic bread also, which unfortunately was nowhere near as nice as the pizza itself). But, back to the campsite, it was peaceful and ideally located within the Forest of Dean, I had a gate right next to my pitch so I could go straight for a forest walk, first thing. I honestly couldn’t fault this campsite, the facilities were clean and well stocked with paper and hand soap. After a difficult week for me, this hidden gem allowed me to have a few days of peace and joy. I was sad to leave and will definitely back in 2026. Thank you to all the staff for creating such a lovely safe space ❤️

Foxglove Field powered grass tent site
Liked Very welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Facilities such as toilets, shower block and kitchen were incredibly clean and the site provided helpful extras such as washing up liquids and female sanitary products in the women’s toilets and shower blocks which was very thoughtful. The site itself is very clean and we felt very safe there. Wonderful access to the forest and in walking distance from local pubs. Pizza van on Saturday night was a lovely extra.
