Located on the edge of a forest and about a kilometre from the centre of the village of Arthez-de-Béarn, Camping L'Orée du Bois by Noricamp is a great family-friendly Aquitaine campsite for guests who want to be within reach of both the Pyrenees and France's Atlantic coast. The site is located by a pond just to the south of the village, a few minutes' walk from municipal leisure facilities including a swimming pool and tennis court. The centre of Arthez-de-Béarn is a pleasant one-kilometre stroll away and is home to a restaurant and bar. The on-site facilities at Camping L'Orée du Bois by Noricamp are well maintained and include toilets, showers, a laundry room and a small food shop for basic supplies. For bigger shops, the closest supermarket is a five-minute drive away. Dogs are welcome to come and join you on stays here (please keep them on a lead at all times). Arthez-de-Béarn is an important stop-off point on the Puy-en-Velay route of the Camino de Santiago, a medieval pilgrimage route that's still popular to this day. If you're not up for all-day hikes, stay local and take a shorter stroll around the three Romanesque chapels that the route passes by.

Liked: Un camping pequeñito y lindo, súper cálido y familiar.
Tiene un estanque, una biblioteca que enamora, parque, zona de barbacoa. Facilita entradas a la piscina municipal que está justo al lado. Se pueden hacer dos rutas desde ahí.
Puedes pedir pan y pastas para desayunar y cuenta con un bar chulísimo donde van haciendo actividades y espectáculos. Tuvimos la suerte de escuchar un concierto de música española...ahh y no os podéis perder los helados artesanales.
Hemos pasado dos días de descanso y relax.
Seguro volveremos!!!

Disliked: Los lavabos podrían mejorar en cuanto a instalaciones y limpieza.

Liked: Es un camping pequeño, muy agradable por el entorno y ambiente tranquilo. Las parcelas están bien. Más o menos justitas. Hay dos rutas muy chulas que salen del camping. Las personas que lo llevan son muy agradables.

Disliked: Los baños podrían estar un poco más iluminados y modernos.

Liked: La experiencia ha sido excelente! La parcela era muy grande y cómoda, los baños super limpios y amplios y en dos semanas jamás hemos tenido que esperar para ir al baño o ducharnos.
El restaurante y espacio de convivio eran muy acogedores y de calidad. El servicio muy familiar y muy profesional.
El trato de los dueños y empleados fue excelente y fueron incansables en hacernos sentir como en casa. El camping es muy familiar y acogedor, si vas con niños y buscas tranquilidad y que los tus hijos estén a gusto, este camping es inmejorable.
El camping está muy bien situado con un lago y un bosque delante en una zona muy verde. Dispone también de la piscina municipal delante para que en los días de calor te puedas refrescar con tú familia.

Disliked: No hay nada que no me haya gustado.

Liked: We werden zeer vriendelijk ontvangen, een kleinschalige en lieflijke camping. ‘s avonds was er live muziek in het restaurantje en de volgende dag een lokale markt met entertainment dus wij hebben ons ondanks de wat afgelegen ligging prima vermaakt! Ideaal om even tot rust te komen. Sanitair was altijd schoon.

Local attractions

As well as hiking and cycle trails, there are several family-friendly days out in the immediate vicinity, including La Pêcherie d'Aurit (10 minutes' drive), a kids' farm with friendly animals, pony rides and a trout fishery for anglers young and old. At Lacq Aventure (10 minutes) there's also a forest high ropes course (with routes for younger and older kids/adults) and miniature golf. A 20-minute drive away is Orthez, a handsome town with a castle, a medieval bridge with a tower in the middle and lots of good places to sample traditional Béarn and Basque food. There are also kayaking and canoeing spots along the river Ousse, plus more watersports, open-air swimming and a waterslide at Lac d'Orthez, just outside town. Venturing further afield? The city of Pau (40 minutes) is full of things to do, from taking in the far-reaching mountain views on Boulevard des Pyrénées to riding the funicular railway or wandering around the elegant château. Beach days, Basque specialities and boating from the Atlantic coast should be sought out in and around Bayonne, a popular seaside spot that's roughly an hour away by road.

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.

Hired accommodation

Hired accommodation: €150.00 damage/cleanliness/bracelet deposit is required on arrival and will be refunded on departure after inspection of your unit should no damage/losses be found.

Vehicles

No vehicle movement between 10:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m..
Only one car is to be parked by the pitch. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.

General
