Motorhome pitch

  • Hardstanding motorhome pitches in the Trossachs Pier car park
  • On the banks of Loch Katrine with direct access to the Trossachs Trail
  • Next to a café and departure point for loch cruises
Somewhere scenic to park your motorhome in Stirlingshire? Take a look at the touring pitches at Trossachs Pier – this location is in a fabulous spot right on the banks of Loch Katrine and in one of the UK’s largest National Nature Reserves, the Great Trossachs Forest. Technically speaking, these pitches are in the pier’s car park, but there’s rather more to it than that, as you’ll have access to toilets and showers (for an extra charge), wifi and a café serving up breakfasts, lunches, hot drinks and the like. There’s also bike hire in the car park, and it’s the departure point for various passenger cruises. Boat trips run regularly through the day but the top pick for many visitors is a ride on the Sir Walter Scott steamship, which has sailed on the loch since 1900. Once you’ve explored the loch thoroughly, don’t plan to move on too quickly – this site is located on the 40-mile Trossachs Trail for walks and bike rides, and there’s plenty more to see and do around the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, whether you’re planning to bag a few Munros, go fishing, play golf or explore some of the area’s history.

Non-electric hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked: Staff (Derek) was super friendly and helpful.
Location is lovely and the facilities are top notch.
Plenty to do. The lookout at sunset with vino, the steamboat trip, a wee hike.

Disliked: Nothing!
Some of the parking is on a slope but easily avoided or fixed with chocks.

Electric optional hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked: Scenery is lovely

Disliked: This is my 4th time doing an over night and each time I pay for electricity , every time I have come there seems to be a problem with supplying this on request , each time I've come the shop assistant is the only one on site that advises she will put electricity on when she has a minute , the first time it took her 2 hours after I had to ask twice , the 2nd time I had to ask twice but she left without putting it on , I fortunately used the remaining units of someone else's, really let's the place down , if you are paying extra for full service this should be for the full time you are there and you shouldn't feel that you are inconveniencing someone away from a till , won't be back , really poor service
