What customers say

Lovely spot below Ben Nevis. Great views & trails. Facilities clean & staff friendly. Shop & food popular, pub handy. Some mention older showers & midges, but still a top recommendation for location & amenities.

Electric grass tent pitch

Liked I really loved camping here. There is a lot of space. you are surrounded by beautiful views and it is situated near Ben Nevis trail and West Highland Way.
There is a restaurant, bar and shop on the spot.
You have spacious laundry place, where you can sit and wait for your laundry to be finished and very hot water in the showers:)

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Best campsite I've been to, location clearly helps, has everything to keep you ticking over and no reason to go to town because this is a well maintained and self sufficient site,

Views (unquestionable)
Facilties (loads and clean)
Staff (brilliantly polite)
Food (tasty but pricey)
Shop (everything you need)
Location (perfect)
WiFi (wasn't too bad)

All good and will be back

Disliked I paid for a enhanced spot you could say, where I had water pipe availability,

But view is blocked with trees, I wouldn't normally moan because I had rear view of glen nevis but I came for ben nevis and you couldn't see it, the other spots which cost less had a perfect view of ben nevis,

Still beautiful but I wish I saved 40 quid and took a less luxury spot to have a better view,

Shop clearly very pricey, BUT they have that zero Loch lomand Ale, cancels that moan out lol,

We struggled to find any local buses nearby but not 100% sure if that was just us,

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Great location as very close to one of the routes up Ben Nevis, great views .The amenities were handily located with a well stocked shop and a nice takeaway bar.The shower block was dated but spotlessly clean and loads of hot water and I see a new one is being built. A large site but didn’t have that feeling of being so. Brought back memories as I’m sure I was here some 35/40 years ago! Ps found the WiFi very weak

Local attractions

Indoors, outdoors, relaxed and active types are sorted here, with activities for all sorts easily accessible within a short drive. Heading outdoors first (there's a reason why Fort William is nicknamed 'the outdoor capital of the UK'), walks, bike rides, snowboarding, watersports and a whole heap more are all close by. Glen Nevis and its surrounds are crisscrossed with forest and riverside walks for all levels and abilities – and don't forget there's a mountain to climb for those so inclined too...? Cycle trails are also close to hand, as Fort William is a popular stop for cyclists and has nearby forests with networks of tracks as well as many purpose-built cycle paths. If you want to pedal further, lots of quiet roads leading to remote Highland communities are reachable on day trips. Snowy pursuits? The slopes of Aonach Mor are open to skiers and snowboarders in the winter and have some smashing runs for snowy sorts of all levels. Watery and more pursuits? Mountains, forests, lochs and the North Sea are all easy to get to from Glen Nevis Caravan & Camping Park, so curious Georges could try kayaking, go-karting, canyoning, salmon fishing or quad biking in the area among many more... Less manically, take a Nevis Range Cable Car or visit the West Highland Museum a few miles from base to see the area's scenery and history, or go nature spotting in the surrounding area to look for red deer, pine martens, otters, red squirrels, dolphins, seals, grouse, golden eagles: the Highlands have a nicely diverse range of wildlife and boat tours/guided walking tours are available to spot it in several areas. Also have a trip on the Jacobite steam train – yes, the one in the Harry Potter films – from June to September and from Fort William to Mallaig; and take a hike to Glenfinnan Monument, the viewpoint and visitor centre at the head of Glenfinnan telling all about the monument and the 1745 uprising. (Glenfinnan Viaduct is viewable from here; you might recognise it from the Harry Potter films too.) For castles, have a look at Eilean Donan Castle on the road to the Isle of Skye and Inverlochy Castle, the ruins of which date back to the thirteenth century; and for canals, go to Neptune's Staircase and the Caledonian Canal linking Fort William to Inverness, with paths on either side to stroll along.
