  • Well-established and popular holiday park on the banks of Lough Erne
  • Part of a 230-acre country park 20 minutes' drive from Enniskillen
  • Fishing, watersports, bike hire, play area, restaurant and bar on site
Now here’s a place that's got a very well-established reputation – and when a business has been thriving since 1966, you just know that it must be doing things rather well. That’s certainly the case with Castle Archdale Caravan Park, which has been operating in this lovely spot on the shores of Lower Lough Erne for well over half a century. Now owned by the Mahon family for more than 28 years, it’s grown to be a well-equipped and much-loved Co. Fermanagh holiday park for all ages. The setting gives it a head start, of course – it’s surrounded by the 230 acres of Castle Archdale Country Park, once a World War II airbase and now a protected park owned by DAERA. Enniskillen is a 20-minute drive away along the lakeshore for shops and other town amenities when you need them. And then there are all the facilities, covering both practicalities and leisure time. Guests here have access to watersports and fishing on the lake, bike hire for exploring the park, and a play area and various activities to keep the kids amused. A shop, picnic areas and barbecue areas are all on hand for self-catering times, and there's also a restaurant, chip shop and bar for easy eats and drinks (seasonal opening hours apply). On the practical front, you’ll also have access to things like a launderette, a wifi connection, gas cylinder exchange service and chemical toilet disposal.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: We stayed in March, out of season and prior to the site fully opening. The pitch we had was great with water/electric and also black water disposal available.
Great wifi.
Lovely walks nearby on the lake. The home to the WWII squadron that protected the Atlantic shipping lanes.

Disliked: No grey water disposal - BUT - that was actually being installed as we were there, so going forward this will not be an issue.
Difficult to access the lake, without leaving the site. They could make much more of the wonderful location on-site. ie a beach area/sitting area on the lake.
