  • Family-oriented park between Dartmoor and the south Devon coast
  • A 15-minute drive from Totnes and half an hour from Plymouth
  • Indoor off-road track available to all cyclist guests
Wheeldon Farm is a holiday park in the stunning south Devon countryside geared towards families looking for action-packed motorhome or campervan breaks. Active holidays are easy to come by here: you're roughly equidistant between Dartmoor National Park and the splendid south Devon coast. With miles of green lanes to explore starting from your pitch, this is a particularly fine spot for mountain bike and e-bike riders – and you're covered whatever the weather as kids (and big kids too) can spend hours zooming around the farm's all-weather indoor tracks. There's also a small playground and football pitch where younger guests can let off some steam. On top of that, six electric mountain bikes are available to hire on site for those who want to explore the stunning local countryside. All guests are welcome to use the modern toilets, hot showers and lounge area. Here, you'll find a washing machine, a large washing-up sink and a coffee machine. Guests are welcome to bring barbecues and firepits. Well-behaved pets can expect a warm welcome here, with daily walks (or swims) provided by the river Avon. This peaceful spot is just at the end of the green lane that crosses the site, while further afield in the South Hams there's a range of dog-friendly beaches and trails to explore. The nearest shop can be reached within 10 minutes' drive.

Electric gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked: We stayed one night at this site. The owner was very friendly and helpful.
It was a very peaceful location and we had a good view of rolling hills from our window.

Disliked: The shower block was very rustic with bare concrete walls and floor. It was also quite chilly inside it. We found it so uninviting we didnt use it. The separate toilet was ok.

Electric gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked: We hooked up our camper van for the night, good space, level, and plugged in all night. Can empty cassettes and bins provided too.
Toilets and showers are clean and the water is hot.
Bring adequate footwear for a farm to walk about.
Beautiful view in the morning.
Would stay again :)
Thank you

Electric gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked: Friendly helpful hosts. Electric and water on each pitch. Despite being there in storm Darragh we had a nice time. Water takes a while to come through warm, so washing dishes and waiting for the shower takes a little while although not a problem and i'm sure exacerbated by the storm.

Andrew J. The reviewer booked through Pitchup.com

Electric gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked: It had everything that we needed to use as a camping base in a camper van.

Andrew explained everything we needed to know for our five night stay.

We were using Weeldon Farm as a base to visit old haunts. So Totness, Dartmouth, Bantham, Bigbury and Hope Cove were all easily within driving distance. It was effectively winter so being on the hard standing was perfect as the weather could be unpredictable.

The facilities are sufficient for camping but are not luxury. Our dog was welcomed by Andrew and Yogi. And this is very relevant as there were no add ons for dogs and hookups like other sites.

We throughly enjoyed our stay and would consider returning. It was very relaxing and quiet.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike.

Electric gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked: Friendly welcome along with the friendly greetings all weekend. Beautiful view if you are lucky enough to be in the back pitch.

Disliked: The toilets, showers & washing up area is outdated & basic. There is motorbike offroading here & think these facilities have been done with mud in mind!
