Liked: Throughly enjoyed staying here. The owner Nigel and his family were all extremely friendly and so helpful, immediately offering us a cup of tea and information on the area and what it had to offer. The facilities were basic but the views more than made up for this. Would 100% would stay again.

Liked: We loved this cute little campsite.
The owner came up to us as we arrived. A little later than we had hoped at 9:30 pm.
He greeted us and showed us where we could find things.
He offered us some tea, which was just such a nice gesture. Especially since I was very tired and had a sore throat. He brought it up to us as we where pitching our tent. It made us feel very welcome.
Facilities are simple as stated on the description.
Very neat camping, lovely soft, well kept grass.
We loved it.

Liked: Site owner Nigel was really helpful. Lovely field - small but with just what you needed for a night of back to basics camping in a lovely setting. The toilet was well stocked with toilet roll, sanitiser and a mirror :)

Liked: Natalie and Nigel were both very welcoming and helpful, and their paddock is perfectly positioned for a quick overnight stop whilst journeying south as we did, or I imagine would be a great base for further exploring the lakes. The pub at Bampton is great (book ahead for food) and there are other good options nearby in Askham. Would absolutely recommend for a quiet and peaceful camp with gorgeous views.
