  • Award-winning park between Scarborough and Pickering
  • Excellently maintained amenities including family bathroom
  • Licensed shop and play area on site
Jasmine Park is an award-winning caravan and camping park midway between Scarborough and Pickering, just a short drive from attractions and sandy beaches. The site has top-notch shower and toilet facilities that are maintained to an excellent standard of cleanliness and guests are invited to use the refuse and recycling points while on site. There's also a a family and disabled bathroom with a private wetroom with toilet, shower, sink and a bath, plus a pot wash and a laundry area. Other facilities include a play area complete with swings, slides and spring animals to keep kids going for hours. Guests can also pick up essentials at the licensed shop and get tips for visits in the surrounding area from our tourist information centre with all the brochures and leaflets for you to plan and enjoy your holiday. Wifi is available on site at a small hourly, daily or weekly charge as required. Guests may spot pheasants, owls and even the odd fox (don’t worry, the country gents are a lot more shy than their gangsta urban cousins) at this peaceful site on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Beautiful site, all the necessities required, with friendly, helpful and welcoming staff.
Nice big pitches.
Clean facilities.

Disliked: The taps on the showers and sinks need to stay on longer, only stay on for two seconds a push and shower pressure is weak.
WiFi wasn’t great, kept going down resorted to mobile data and hotspots instead.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Everything - not a bad thing to say!
toilets & showers immaculate
Secure entrance and exit on and off site.
Staff are really friendly, came to check we had settled in and gave us all the information for the site.
Child & dog friendly
Little shop on site with essentials / things to keep kids busy (drawings, toys etc all very reasonably priced)
Peaceful, a really relaxed break away.

Disliked: There really wasn’t anything we disliked and it’s not often I really can’t say a single thing! Well done Jasmine park, you have a gem of a site.

Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch (super)

Liked: The whole park was well kept, tidy and spotless. All of the staff were extremely helpful.
Toilets and bathrooms were clean and warm. The shop was small but had necessities.
Loved the security, it felt safe. Level pitches with hedges and lots of wildlife. Definitely plan to visit again.

Disliked: There isn't really anywhere to walk to but lots of places to visit by car.
If you were camping, some pitches have quite a walk to the shower block.
Neither affected us, it's just an observation.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: - coded security gate, made us feel very secure
- grounds were lovely; well maintained, spacious and clean
- plenty of bins/dog poo bins/skips for rubbish
- the bath in the family bathroom; we have a 1yo and it meant we could keep his bedtime routine
- family bathroom; spacious and clean and perfect for us
- toilet block and single sex showers were kept clean and smelled lovely each time
- excellent local location for exploring North Yorkshire

Disliked: - if we had to find a negative we’re struggling but the showers and bath take a little while to warm up, we found having them running while we got ready was enough time for the hot water to come through

Local attractions

Snainton is a pretty village which offers golfing and horse riding as well as trout and coarse fishing at the nearby Wykeham Lakes. If you’re feeling chipper, you can book in for a one-to-one woodturning lesson from the experts at the on-site Snainton Woodworking Centre. The big destination in the area is Scarborough. With 360 years in the tourism trade (it was the country’s first ever seaside resort) this legendary coastal town has plenty of experience in keeping visitors happy. As well as the obvious attractions of the sandy beaches, Italian gardens and the lovely Peasholm Park, there are trips by boat, open air bus or miniature steam railway, and it’s definitely worth making your way up to the imposing castle on the cliff tops. There’s no need to worry about rain stopping play either, thanks to the classic seaside amusements, Sea Life Marine Sanctuary, art gallery and geological museum. You could even hit the casino... The town also has a packed programme of events, concerts and festivals running throughout the year, including the famous Scarborough Fair music festival, Seafest, which combines a celebration of the sea with international folk music; and the annual end of season cricket festival, which has been pulling crowds since 1876. In the opposite direction is the smaller town of Pickering, which is transported back to the 1940s each autumn as part of its annual wartime weekend, but is worth a visit anytime for a trip on the North York Moors Railway, which steams through the National Park from here to Grosmont. Relax and enjoy the ride, try to spot the station used by the Hogwarts Express in the Harry Potter films, or disembark at one of the platforms along the 18-mile journey for some excellent walking in the glorious Yorkshire countryside. Alternatively, visitors can follow the route taken by their Viking forbears to fun-packed York, home to the Jorvik Viking Centre, the soaringly beautiful architecture of York Minster, the gore and thrills of the York Dungeons, and nationally important railway and air museums. Other attractions that can be reached in under 30 minutes include: Dalby Forest, which offers excellent birdwatching, wildlife spotting and walking; Castle Howard, one of the most beautiful stately homes in the UK, and a venue for concerts and many other events during the summer months; Flamingo Land theme park and zoo; the World War II museum at Eden Camp; and Go Ape!, a tree top adventure playground where visitors can make like Tarzan on the swings, bridges and zipwires.
