Local attractions

The handsome and historic town of Madison (20 minutes’ drive) is one of the biggest visitor attractions in the USA. Sitting on the banks of the Ohio River, it comprises more than 100 blocks of housing and college buildings in the National Historic Landmark District. You can easily spend a day there in the numerous museums or the Lanier Mansion State Historic Site, surrounded by colorful gardens. Madison is almost completely encircled by Clifty Falls State Park (15 minutes), a hiking spot well-known for its dramatic waterfalls rushing down canyons. There’s also walking through thick woodland on the Hatcher Hill Trail (25 minutes, keep watch for deer), and gentle strolls for the whole family at Hardy Lake Dam Overlook Area (20 minutes), where you can picnic on the waterside. Proud parents can visit their kids at prestigious Hanover College (15 minutes), and celebrate any academic success with tastings and tours at Lanthier Winery (20 minutes). There are a couple of golf courses within 20 minutes’ drive, and Hardy Lake (25 minutes) is a well-known spot for fishing.

A cable measuring at least 12 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 3 day(s) of arrival.

Bookings must not be for more than 29 consecutive nights.

Occupancy

Bookings must not consist of more than 4 different households.

Safety

Firearms are not permitted.
Fires, barbecues and/or firepits will not be permitted in dry, windy and/or hot weather conditions.
Guests are advised to bring a good quality flashlight with them as parts of the park are unlit.

Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.

In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
