Yep... you'll reckon you could paz some time here all right. The views at Camping La Paz, near Llanes in Asturias, are all pretty smashing ones of the Spanish coast and the clear blue sea – and as pitches are spread across several terraces and levels, there's plenty of them to go round (no fighting for the coveted field-edge spot here). And a location right by the beach is pretty smashing too – a good chunk of that gorgeous outlook is of Vidiago beach, a mere couple of minutes' stroll from this peaceful coastal site. Trot down the short footpath to hit the beach for swims, sand loafing and rockpooling, or stick around on site to admire from above. The beach-view bar-restaurant is the place for that: soak up the Spanish sun from the bar terrace while sampling bites from the local, tapas and international menus. Planning a picnic, a barbecue or an evening round the campfire? Pick up all the necessaries from the site's supermarket, stocked with groceries, newspapers and kit for beach and camping. If you're to hole up here for a while (as is surely tempting…) you'll perhaps need a bit of clean kit; take care of that at the laundry room, which is fitted out with washing machines, tumble dryers and ironing boards. Other amenities include a motorhome service point and four toilet and shower blocks – because not having to stand in a loo queue is also pretty smashing…

Liked: Unbelievable scenery, the location couldn't have been better with direct access to a beach that felt private. Nice bar over-looking the sea.

Disliked: Check-in was borderline ridiculous and took over 45 minutes on arrival. Checking out also took some time as they wouldn't let us pay on arrival which delayed our departure. The drinking water was unclear with no signage. Quite a few groups of teens who were quite loud into the evening.

Liked: Es espectacular las vistas y la tranquilidad
...

Disliked: Deberían poner algunas vallas en algunas parcelas y arreglar las que hay, además de al final como hay un acantilado pondría una red, las niñas jugaron con un balón y acabó en los matorrales, es irrecuperable.....

Si lo que buscas es tranquilidad y naturaleza, éste es tu camping. Hemos estado en Semana Santa y nos ha encantado.
La Senda Costera pasa al lado del camping y en 10 minutos caminando estás en Pendueles.
Los baños y duchas impecables y cómodos, el restaurante/cafetería con unas vistas impresionantes y el personal muy atento.

Liked: Beautiful views. Clean showers and toilet block. Helpful staff. We stayed early October and needed a tow to get off the pitch as it was a bit muddy. No problem at all. Done in 5 minutes.

Liked: Uniqueness of the site, very hilly, woody and exposed cliff pitches. Also a very short journey off the main highway. Had a lovely woody/grassy pitch to suit our dog.

Disliked: Get there early for better pitch.

Liked: Perfect base for Llanes if you either have car/van or are able to walk/cycle the 7.5 mile walk along a beautiful rustic pilgrimage path
Stunning views of the surrounding coast. Good facilities on site on a hill a very good description, pitches on tiers.
Food we had in restaurant especially paella was very good

Local attractions

The east of Asturias is known for its tiny old-fashioned villages, its cliffs and its beaches, so get in the car or hire a scooter and get to its small caves, coves and sandy beaches. Nudist beaches are also available nearby for those who don't like returning home with tell-tale tan lines. Stacks of other top Spanish attractions and activities are within easy driving distance here too. Give your hiking boots or mountain bike a good workout on the hilly trails of the Picos de Europa National Park (an hour away), or take a more gentle wander around the very viewsome town of San Vicente de la Barquera (15 minutes' drive). Sticking to the scenic coastline, it's worth meandering through the medieval centre of Llanes (15 minutes) before flopping on one of its sandy beaches, or taking in the prehistoric daubings at Ribadesella's Rock Art Center of Tito Bustillo (half an hour) before… sí, more beach flopping. Foodies (and wine-ies) will also find this area fabulous: there's loads to taste, but suggestions to start off with include the local stews, rice puddings, saffron and cheese, all washed down with a flagon of the region's famed cider.
